its so hard to choose, because all of these models have different variants which can make or break the car. for me a blob eye wrx with fog lamps is one of the worst looking, but a blob eye STI with a front splitter is great looking. 22B first then i don't know....too hard

 

22 b is the best easily but apart from this classics look dated now espesially interia wise blobeye for me now imo

 

There is no competition really. How can anyone compare a dated classic to the hawkeye in the above photo?!! Some people let nostalgia cloud their thoughts!!

Classic by a country mile. As for how can anyone compare a dated classic etc. .... there are currently as many votes for the classic as the rest put together.

As for the 6 votes for the hatchback - how are the labradors guys?

Thats because the classics are generally more affordable so law of averages says there will be a huge amount more owners on SNET.

Not many people say any shape other than there own is the best looking so thats why its heavily in favour of the classic.

I'm fairly confident that with money no object most would prefer a hawk sti over 1995 sti for example. If not there's something wrong with peoples heads....

 

I love my Bugeye, but sorry guys i had to vote for the Blobeye. STI varients that is, if it's wrx's then bugeye for sure.

But the poll is about looks not ability so if you think the 1995 STI looks better then a hawk STI then you would vote for the classic.

Up until 10 weeks agi I owned an 03 STI, if this poll was done then I would still have voted for the the classic.

If it looks dated so be it, but out of all the Impreza models the classic looks the most 'balanced', it has less need for angular attachments, big spoilers, plastic trims etc. The later cars are either just plain ugly or look like they are on steroids and are way too agressive looks wise. They scream 'look at me, I have a fast car' whereas the classic is just more subtle. Much nicer.

Whether they are better cars or not is of course something completely different, but looks wise it's the classic all the way.

 

There is just no contest IMHO.

 

cthing to me is when you strip it right dwon the classic looks great without spoilers and splitters, the newer models need spoilers and splitters to make them, look half decent!! thinking of going spoilerless on my classic!!!!

Have to disagree, as IMHO my car is better looking than yours without spoilers and splitters. I may be biased but I also think the 22B and the P1 are the best looking yet, closely followed by the S204 and the RB320.

It's all horses for courses of course.

Thats my whole point. I dont understand how anyone could prefer the looks of a classic over the hawkeye's that have been posted. I really dont.

I wasnt talking about ability, I was referring to the looks. There is no comparison the newage ****s all over the classic.

 

for me its got to be the 22b or any other 2 door classic

i do think the hawkeye is pretty nice though, but for now i'm rather enjoying the 'pre-classic' :

 

I think the phrase each to their own says it all.

Just cause you think the hawkeye is better doesnt mean everyone else has to.
