doing 3 figures on a dual carriageway (at best) deserves everything he gets.I admit the vast mojority of people break the speed limit but generally on motorways not A roads
HTH
ps i left a murciealgo for dead on a public road doing well into 3 figures
ok it was the Nurburgring

It's wet out, it's Saturday night, it's alright he's a big boy and can handle the flak....
Yes we have all done it in the past, but as EVERYONE is watching for just this kind of evidence to use in the future... even if he is not at fault it will be dragged up in the courts or the media.
Sad reflection on today's society, we are being watched and you can incriminate yourself on the internet.
He's no criminal, but as stated by others, cover your tracks in public.

This forum can be so self righteous at times
Give the guy a break. I'm always interested in comparisons with other marques but agree doing silly speeds on public roads is not something to brag about in public.
He didn't come on here to be judged and TBH none of us are really in a position to judge. If you're not interested in his comparison and are offended by his driving, simply refrain from posting. Start your own thread to talk about how this kind of driving irritates you and stop hijacking his thread.
Move along now, nothing to see.

i had a cracking race in my scoob once, it was against a 911 turbo, he was pulling away but not at the rate i expected, we went into 3 figures, but it was in a place with no traffic and no pedestrians, it was great and even the turbo owner was suprised especially as mine was a wagon.
you dont buy a scoob to tootle round to tesco's, you buy it to enjoy the thing, we have enough with the government telling us what to do and when to do it without the scoobynet preachers jumping on board,
well done mate its a great buzz when you do it, if you get chance do it again tomorrow
i have only ever heard of one person being taken to court and evidence off a internet site being used as evidence so why do you all preach like it happens every day

Well done for infracting me
Perhaps I should now call the old bill and report someone for what amounts to be dangerous driving since grassing seems to be the order of the day. Not a public road, ok, tell me where this private road is in Glasgow with roundabouts in it where you can go these speeds?
Yes most of us have done speeds on roads, but it's not big nor clever coming onto a public forum bragging about driving like this, it's manna from heaven for the Mary Whitehouse brigade.

I agree, if you don't want to race get a POS devil fuel car or some some smart car heap of ***, a scooby is meant to be enjoyed, albeit sensibly. I put my foot down on occasion but never anywhere that might be dangerous to others, if I hurt myself then stupid me for doing it but I could never live with hurting someone else so as a result only mess about when nobody is around to pay for your silliness. But honestly, who buys a scoob to drive like your nan going shopping? You wanna do that then buy a shopping trolley (or as they are more commonly known a saxo)

As previously stated there's a difference between racing a car at 130 mph in Glasgow on wet roads with heavy braking for roundabouts (nice edit from the op in his first 2 posts) and enjoying a performance car safely and responsibility on the roads.
I myself have had 6 points in one go on a motorway for doing 100.3 mph on a clear dry road. And from the posts I've read above no-one is suggesting that people who own Subarus should drive like their nan shopping.
Coming onto a forum bragging about an activity that could see the OP in prison, not to mention causing a catastrophic crash, is not something to be encouraged and gives us all a bad name.

Cheers for the people who have commented and not lost a sense of reality on the matter.
At the end of the day EVER PERSON who has left a negative comment, i can almost be 100% certain has broke the speed limit in the their scoob.
I just love the way all the saints seem to come out to play in little packs like wolves.
The truth is we have all done it, anybody on this forum that has never put their foot down and went over the speed limit I would love to meet

Depending on who the poster is.... the arsey comments start and in your case you retaliated and everyone jumped on the bandwagon.
Yes, most of the S/N members get their right foot down (and hard) but you just have to pretend that you don't.... and that you are too grown up for that sort of nonsense.
Put it behind you and learn by your mistake.

I once raced a Misubishi GTO at 125mph in a 30, past a school, after 8 pints.
So there.

Couldn't agree more and i think the op has learnt his lesson (about posting such things on a public forum that is!).

I think it's about time this thread was closed really cause it isn't getting anyone anywhere. Racing on public roads isn't clever, it's dangerous and not just to yourself but at the same time we all want to enjoy our driving but these sort of threads just start slanging matches that aren't productive in any way. Someone will always agree/disagree with what somebody else has written so why not just call it quits on this one?
