Ask at Gaugeplace for the sender if you cant get an answer from Xyber (I did ask them but no answer) the gauges they sell are exactly the same but branded differently

You should get 20% off the final amount what ever you buy but only after you enter the code. Are you sure you haven’t selected any of the other extras digi volt meter ground kit etc??
Drop them an email tomorrow if you are sure you have selected everything right Danny will sort it for you

When you 'add to basket' change the quantity to 2. Then when you confirm and checkout, just clarify on the 'comments about your order' about which gauges you want.

Job done...

I got mine a couple of months ago & fitted them a few weeks back. Excellent gauges: look the biz; seem quite consistant readings; good quality & good price. The sandwich plate adaptor makes life a lot easier to install & IMO less areas for any possible oil leakages. The actual adaptor is an excellent bit of kit, made from anodised blue aluminium, my mechanic thought it was top quality.

I dont think the oil filter is now too low in my hawkeye with adaptor & no chance of speed bumps hitting as I have an huge under engine metal diffuser/tray thingie. Though do tighten up sensors in sandwich plate tight & be careful of exhaust (heat) as a little close to either one of sensors. Better to put oil temp sensor there & oil pressure on other side, away from exhaust maybe?

Dont forget the permenant live for memory function & you can turn off that bleeping on startup! (but that will stop beeping on warning setting too) Orange light colour matches dash lights but its difficult too see when it changes to warning- red colour. Easier to see change to warning-red when illumination set to white.

Spring loaded memory/function button is a bit flimsy & can misalign causing it to not pop back out on its own. Just bend it one way or the other & the button straightens & pops back out.

We couldnt figure out how gauges would stay in holders provided, but holders not needed as I bought a triple centre dash pod. With aftermarket pods you cannot use the visors provided without a bit of adaptation I think. I went for the Nissan 350z style angled triple pod from Nomad racing for approx £70. Good quality materials used, good construction, but overall fitment is not perfect as front corners stick up a bit & not very secure fixing into dash at all. Also top of pod is angled towards driver, but whoever designed it didnt angle the actual holes (the ones the pods actually slide into) towards the driver. With the result the pods looks angled towards the driver from above, but from face on the pods are just facing straight!! But I suppose no pods are gona look as good as factory OEM clock fittings. Gauges were held into pods with black silicone.

Il post up some pics in gallery this week hopefully

Most people talk PSI, bar is mainly used over in the states if im not mistaken??

Thanks RBAZ, just it isnt clear on the website what is included with the gauges. Will be ok fitting, and can possibly help with the fitting guide, but i am running a 2.5 so not sire if there is any difference. Have my other gauges plumbed so will just exchange the wiring.

Cheers

Oh, and for anyone who hasnt already fitted gauges, the wires that power the clock can be used for your power, and very helpfully, subaru even list what they are on the back of the clock wich is nice, thank you subaru!!

Then all you need to do is run the wires down the back of the dash and through a grommit in the bulkhead, ui used the one top left of the pedals as that comes out clear and almost central in the engine bay. Just be careful of exhaust and turbo heat. I run my current ones tight up to the bulk head then cable tie to something 'en-route' to the required location so they are all tidily and quite well hidden.

Guys,

here is the gauge pod i will be using for mine after my poor experiance with the fibreglass ones.

Subaru Impreza WRX Performance Parts, Subaru STi Performance Parts, Subaru Legacy GT Performance Parts, Subaru Impreza RS Performance Parts, Subaru Forester XT Performance Parts

Now i have just sent an email to these guys with a link to this page to show the numbers buying gauges and have asked if there is anything he can do with price?? Hope you dont mind me doing this RBAZ?? i can pass the details to you if you like??

Will update tomorrow if i hear something, but even if no they work out the same price as the ones in the uk but as you can see fit the original holes with proper mounting points and have a steel cage.

Now you can also just buy the pod with is 1/2 the price and look at fabricating your own faceplate, which is what i think i may do, as its only a flat piece of plastic/ally/carbon fibre with 3 holes cut to size, and if your really skillfull you could even angle them towards the driver.

See what you think.

WOW Can’t believe the numbers we are getting on this I thought we would struggle to get 26

If anybody wants a Impreza transformer toy? XyberToys

You can order them with your gauges 20% off them too.

... can anyone recommend any dashboard triple pods like the Defi for these gauges....

Am struggling to find plastic ones.....

Also, I've emailed Vertex Racing in Canada about some dashboard mounts for those that want to mount an extra two as below.... If anyone else wants one, PM me and maybe we can save on shipping....

eBay Motors: DASHBAORD 2 GAUGE POD 02 03 04 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX BLACK (item 290243317497 end time Jul-10-08 17:35:49 PDT)

I like the look of this pod too. However, the shipping cost came up as $121.94 - nearly as much as the pod. Their e-mail box is full so could not ask the question can they ship to UK at a cheaper price. Perhaps if several members interested we could arrange shipment over together to reduce crazy shipping cost? I will try and e-mail them later to see if they can ship to the UK any cheaper.....
