For those of you who have already fitter their's, how bright are the dials in the amber setting during the day?

I have a JDM, So was hoping to have it always in Red to match my main dials.. but if you cannot see them in red during the day well I will have to settle for the white in day.. and red when my headlights are on.

Many thanks

You will be able to see them during the day when red but much clearer when white

Am going to disconnect the illumination wire on mine I prefer the look of them white and they are low enough not to dazzle I think

Read this
http://gaugeplace.co.uk/shop/product...roducts_id=158

you need to wire in the lights live so they flick to amber when you turn your lights on at night

I have just fitted the quages but there is a problem with the oil pressure gauge or sender. I have checked all connections and they are ok. I got the connector kit from guageplace. Below is what the gauge is doing. Has anybody else had a problem or any idea what would cause this?

1. When first starting the car the gauge read 90 psi.

2. I disconnected the sensor and the reading 110-115 flicking between.

3. Disconnected power connector to the gauge and still the same when connected.

4. Reconnected everything and the gauge now read 40 psi (i think it should be 25 psi when running)

5. Whet out in the car and the guage reading went up, i then accelerated hard and the guage went of the scale and stayed there even when stopped.

6. I stopped the car and turned the ignition of and the guage went back to point 40 psi.

7. Accelerated hard again and the guage went of the scale and stopped there again.

8. Stopped and turned the engine of and checked all connections an no oil leaks.

9. Gauge read 40 psi so i drove home carefully.

10. After leaving the car standing for an our the gauge now reads 90 psi without touching anything like it did when first fitted.

11. Same again today, driving the car the guage and it reads 90psi when driving.

sounds like you need to re-set the gauge, or maybe you have a faulty unit

When I disconnected mine the gauge flicks around a bit and stays high so it could just be bad connections.
Contact Xyber if you cant sort it. If you have to pay postage to return a faulty sender (if that’s what it is) might be cheaper just to buy a replacement from Nick at Gaugeplace.

What are you people using to hold the gauges in place in POD's?

I got one forom Scoobyparts and its nice.. but it mentions using rubber securing bands.. which mine didnt come with..

Cheers
