I had a 325i saloon of that era and it was a good car, but the Merc has something special. An E36 M3 Evo convertible in black or silver would be nice I suppose, but that vanos issue puts me clean off them. Nice non Evo M3 models are like hens teeth.
The previous shape Merc is just too "Bobby Ewing" for me. I reckon its far more girly than the "90s" SL. Though I agree, they are fantastically well built cars.
