for peoples general amusement at my expense
I prefer to use that gooey glue that we used to get to use at school when I was a lad. That'd set clear and allow you to peel it off in great chunks.
I think I may get some for next time I need to scare small children!

My Mum's "traditional" solution to sun burn when I was a kid was to sit you in a bath of hot water, as hot as possible, with Sarson's Malt Vinegar in it. I think she trained with the Gestapo during the war, cos that hurts like a biatch
Makes you smell like a bag of cod'n'chips as well, and not sure how good it is for you. Funnily enough I use factor 30 these days.
Get well soon, and when you start to look like some victim of bio-warfare, post another pic

Parents seem to devise cruel and cunning ways of torture, I remember as a kid I had sunburn all over my back and mum put me to sleep on the leather sofa. They had to peel me off when I woke up
I used to try an avoid getting ill as a kid as I would be forced to drink gallons of lucozade until I was on the verge of a diabetic coma, no matter what ailment I had.

Home remedies: vinegar for sunburn - Times Online
Natural Remedies for Sunburn Relief
A quick Google found these. No I'm not going to suggest COB uses it, he's well past the Fish'n'chips stage! More like Chernobyl stroke.

Been there - not nice is it?
I had pretty bad sunburn on a cruise as a lad which can only be put down to a duff bottle of Ambre Solaire (thus never bought the stuff since)....
Huge water blisters across my shoulders, back and chest. **** did it hurt.
Lots of Sudocream and bandaged up with melolin dressing pads taped on had it pretty much sorted within the week....The following week was spent shedding all of the damaged/dead skin ...I'd take off my T-shirt and shake it, and it was a blizzard of skin flakes everywhere.
And the itching....argggh - I thought chicken pox was bad!

last night was not pleasent
managed to drop off around 2am with a cold flannel on my head, but i was awake at least every 30 mins after with just general soreness and that gouey yellowy weeping dripping in my eyes. i gave up at 5am this morning and got up.
im gonna look a right plonk taking the mrs to work with a white/red head, but if the e45 cools it and moisturises it i dont give a ****. its a constant weeping now so to let it dry out would be suicide. im just so so tired
