diffuser\parachute fitted...I used pop rivets instead of the supplied fixings and used substantially more than originally supplied!

I also made up some three brackets as I wasn't really impressed with how wobbly it was

On Steves' advice I'm loosing the lightened crank pulley as its not damped so I've started to clean the OE one up...

Wow diffuser looking nice Ian,love your improvisation with making new parts or re-using old parts(in new term "recycling" parts) and get them new OE look, but in more cases much better than OE look.

I wouldn't normally do this, but, it's been getting on my nerves.

So, why in the blue ****, did I bring a pair of crank pulley's to TOTB for you, and then neither you, nor, your mate that was supposed to be there could be arsed to get in touch........

Ian, if you no longer needed them, what would the harm be in saying so? I was at Drew's when he was speaking to you on the phone, you knew I was fetching them down.

A little common decency wouldn't have gone amiss.

Annoyed from Newcastle.

Keep cracking on, I'd like to see this running by the end of the year.

possibly, not looked much after a brief chat with Banny here;

http://bbs.22b.com/cgi-bin/ultimateb...c;f=9;t=002144

Steve has said the OE version is fine though so I'm wondering how much bling over function there is here. Still waiting for my gearbox costs too so am hesitant to commit t additional costs that aren't an absolute necessity

I've looked, but cheapest(Triton) is for something like $450 excluding taxes etc.,still too much.
If Steve said OE is OK,i would refurb yours and if cash in future allow i would go with something more bling, but for now OE look with your skills will be like new

You are sticking with PPG or 6 speed or something like Sequential box(wish i have £7k for Kaps sequential box )

Micky the only reason I'm refurbishing this one is Chris didn't bring the pulleys back from TOTB...I sent him your number and sent his number to Drew so assumed you'd have made contact...I guess I could have phoned to make sure but felt like I would be hassling people doing me a favour so didn't...apologies for any inconvinence, last thing I intended

Me too mate, me too

spoke to Steve on Friday; dummy build will be completed once the heads are sorted...I need to decide on the level of head work first though as they are only small port they will need some work. Steve is going to advise me how far I need to go once he has some feedback on some work he has just carried out on another set the same as mine. I'll be popping over to SMG one afternoon this week to drop the pulley and a few other bits off, so shall find out more then I think

Getting there hey!

Liking the diffuser, looks much neater attached with rivets rather than screws
Interesting you needed to make additional mounts though They should be part of the kit if its that wobbly imo A quick e-mail to the manufacturer is needed eh!

.....and before you ask, no I haven't painted them yet
