bit unlucky today, arsenal forgot its a game of 2 halves and only pitched up second half.
crouch hardly gets a game and plays like that, bentnerplays often and is rubbish.
seriously how can we expect to win anything with our lack of depth in midfield and upfront. spend money on 2 new big names and we can compete

Hehe, and again today

I was there again, very different game to weds. 2nd half was end-to-end. Crouch had a great game all-round. Strangely Gerrard made little impact as a sub. Liverpool played much more controlled football compared to Weds when they seemed content to just hoof the ball all the time.

Looking forward to the return leg next week, sadly can't make it to Anfield though

eboue at right midfield is laughable.

not sure on gilberto. i watched him off the ball and he seemed to be just wandering not doing much.
nice to see walcott start, begining to come good, just wish they would play him upfront.

Im a Liverpool fan and I agree. As long as Agger is fit next season I can see him and Skrtel being first choice CB both have speed and both can make a decent pass, Carragher will probably be moved to RB or LB or maybe even as a holding midfielder (original position was midfield) although his passing is one dimensional. I agree he is looking out of sorts (Hypia as well, great servent but he is no longer a top team CB, maybe for a lesser team)

Is this the same ref who has given Arsenal penalties in the previous home games he has reffed for them this season
Wont mention the fouls that went uncarded on the liverpool players at the beginning

Can only remember the Fabergas one , however he had already been tackled at that stage and the ball was about to be cleared

Is that the one where the debutant LFC midfield clearly got the ball as shown on the replays I admit initially it looked like a bad challenge, however the replays showed he got to and cleared the ball before walcott got there. Good positioning with the ref, should maybe have booked walcott for diving when the ball had already been cleared

just think with the blatant un penalty given to chelsea at Anfield his year Arsenal would be at least level wih chelski now

You agree with a Manc about JC? not so long ago Jonhn Terry was saying he was one of the worlds best defenders. Commentators yesterday were praising him for number of defensive blocks he made...........

Ok, he's not the best passer of the ball from defence, but he's pretty much no nonsense defender. I personally prefer him at right back which is the position he will assume when Agger is back next year.

Where was the passion? Henry would be geeing the team up and showing real passion. What does Gallas do? Absolutely **** all, no passion or urgency was shown what so ever. Wish he'd **** off back to Chelsea to be honest as I can't stand him especially as club captain.

Gilberto was a rock in midfield and Wenger is going to lose him in the Summer because of how much he has p!ssed him off in the last year

It also didn't help with the worst refereeing i've seen this season, that bloke was nothing less than a cheat by the blatant fouls on Arsenal players that he just waved play on to. The Adebeyor shove in the back pushing him over right in front of the ref to only wave play on was laughable Oh and the replays shows Hleb clearly had his shirt pulled in the penalty box which pulled him off the ball and yet again no penalty gets given. With the blatant penalty not given on Wednesday is it a wonder our recent results are so bloody rubbish.

Forgot to add Crouch was class today and how he gets left out all the time is a mystery. If he is not wanted sell him and we'll buy him and get rid of Bendtner.

jeez, you love a moan about your team, seems like your captain is having a dig back at you......

btw, crouch is not getting a game because we play 4-4-1-1 or 4-2-2-1-1. his goals to games ratio is pretty good for country and club. unlike some fat bloke down the road

JC is a terrible RB In fact his total lack of pace there makes him a liability. He wont get forward either. He only turned into a decent defender once he was moved to CB and now time is catching up with him it seems.

I thought the ref had a great game yesterday. Probably sick and tired (like the rest of us) of every nancy falling to the ground in the penalty area rather than having the skill to have a shot at goal. It seems some teams would rather play for penalties than actually get a shot off these days

Carra was immense yesterday too, some good old fashioned tackles from him

Applause mostly due for Damien Plessis 20 years old and thrown into a big first team game; looked calm, totally composed and in control.

Wengers constant ranting on the touchline says it all for me, he needs to take a long look at his own players rather than pointing the finger at the officials every game.

interesting read mate. so who's the fat bloke down the road then

as for JC at right back, shouldnt really be done, we dont have a natural attacking left midfielder at present so we dont have anyone to expose his pace.
crouch and JC put in a masterclass in my opinion. putting in proper tackles and crouch showing bendtner how to play as a lone striker.

as for the return leg, im still confident its still anyones game. we have scored against you in every game. even if you go 1-0 up it doesnt mean anything. we have showed you we come strong in the second half so i think it will be a case of can you stop us scoring 2. as for penalties we all know who will win that.

as for the tackle on walcott mentioned earlier, yes ball was one and the impact was a result of that. no foul. but a yellow card for theo, im guessing you was joking. never a penalty either. as for awarding penalties in the previous 2 games....yes because they were penalties its his job

And yes then I fall into that category of 'hypercritical fans' then.

We most certainly do need a change of personnel as players like Bendtner and Hoyte aren't good enough to be playing in the Premiership let alone for a team that is in the top four challenging for all trophies each season.

Would Bendtner or Hoyte get in the teams at Man U, Chelsea or Liverpool? Absolutely no way in fact not even in their reserve teams so why then does Wenger think they are good enough to be playing against those teams?

I'm glad i'm not alone as Fabregas and the rest of the team have heard the same thing coming from the stands.

They have thrown away a 5 point lead in the Premiership to a potential 8 point defecit and that has come down to one thing, the lack of depth in the squad with **** players having to play when our best players are out.

If we are to challenge Man U and Chelsea then we need a squad that is as equally as talented and deep in numbers. Currently we don't have that because Wenger refuses to spend any money on players
some good points here, think Eduardo injury a major blow too. Wenger should have strengthened in the Jan transfer window. You were in a good position and there was an opportunity to get one or two good players in. I think he's a clever manager but not sure if he knows how to spend money? maybe i'm wrong as he got eduardo right.

i'll be in liverpool on tuesday, on standby for a ticket, am sure it will be another special Anfield Euro night. they don't get better.
