Spa was awesome Ginola though definetly needed more power down Eau Rouge & Blacnchimont, 320bhp per tonne is not enough.
Have you been to Anglesey, it was almost as much as fun as Spa!
Also are you on facebook 53 Racing page?
I've not Done Anglesey. I've watched a couple of your vids and thought it was worth a go, I do need to make a visit there
I have just got back from 10 days at the Ring for N24 and some fun though :P which was pretty dam awesome. I just joined the FB group see some familiar faces in there
I know what you mean about power through Eau Rouge up the Kemmel Straight seems so hard on the car, I'm running some where around the 400bhp mark and it is not enough for that long hill!, also Subaru's are not really the most slippery fish which really stacks up going up there, but the section from the top of the hill from Les combes down is so sweet!
Here are a couple of laps of the ring and GP circuit (opened on tuesday wed evening)
Lots of traffic nice tussle with a Megane, bloody bikes!
Good videos, looks great fun Definitely faster in second video.
What happened to camera mount in first two videos, it was making me sea sick! lol
GoPro Mounted on the side of my lid stuck to the inside of the screen on the others, Think I managed 6 laps of the ring this year, the fastest was on the Friday, but least traffic on the mid week evening ones, apparently it was nearly deserted this morning need to go back soon! I try to avoid the heavy traffic laps!
I actually wasn't allowed initially to use my GoPro with the suction cup inside the car, but was told if I tied it off to something it would be ok. So just borrowed some cable ties and tied it off to the rear view mirror, happy days. That was with MSV.
i agree your car sounds superb ginola, whats the exhaust setup fella?
Cheers guys, it's a turbo back true 3" cobra trackday friendly system (so double resinated centre) with the backbox swapped for a Hayward and Scott slash angled jap style exit jobby, which is a little mores free flowing and sounds s little more fruity
It measures 104/105db like this (drops to 97/99) with the cobra trackday backbox (custom 4.5" exit
You looked braver than me over mountain, it felt harsh hitting the rise and feeling the front axle scrabbling for grip. I just lifted and got straight back on the power after.
You planning another trip there? Wouldn't mind going back myself with someone doing similar speeds.
Will definitely be making a trip back there but probably not till next year. Been an expensive year with Spa last month! Will be doing Donington on Monday Oct 26th if your interested?
I've actually just been treated by the wife (late birthday prezzie) with a last minute track evening at Donnington this Friday coming. Will post up vids if I get them by the camera police.
Just back home from an evening at Donnington, my first on track there. Great circuit, quite tough to get the right lines in to some on the corners with the entries and exits being so wide but felt I started to improve towards the end. Tire temps went up a fair bit during the session, must have dropped out at least 5-6 psi by the end. Out of interest what do other people run usually for pressures, for 17's ideally. I'm running Adavn AD08 R's and dropped them to around 30psi which seemed a good balance.
Sadly no video due to the circuit/trackday company not allowing suction cup mounts even with a tether, but should have some pics that I'll put up shortly.
Quite a mix of cars on the day at Donnington, the race cars were a bit of a pain flying up behind in the corners. Good day all in all though. Just a few of the 40 or so pics I have.
