I'm with you all the way on everything you mentioned especially the kids comment

This our "middle-un" wrestling with Molly. Our eldest daughter is 6, middle one is 3 and our little boy is nearly 2 (he was an unexpected surprise
).
The dogs are great with them, but as you say they can and will be very protective if we have strangers come to the house. We once had our financial advisor come around shortly after our son was born. He got up out of his seat to go over to have a look at our son in his moses basket - both dogs stood up and stood between him and our son, Molly doing her wooo, wooo bark
(I'm sure you know what I mean as you own boxers also).
He asked me what was up, I was honest and said they were not happy that a stranger was going over to what they perceive as one of the "pack", more so that in their eyes a member of their pack that cannot defend itself........ he asked me if I was serious
you can always tell the people that have not owned the breed..... he moved closer and thats when Molly started barking properly (she had sat down by this time) at just about that moment he turned around and sat back in his seat
.
Anyway I'm off yabbering and probably boring the SN collective to tears so I'll leave it at that. Just to add that both dogs are well trained and will on command go to their bed as well as all the usual other commands - Tash the white is deaf as well, training her was a challenge but she has repaid our devotion 10 times over
.

I know exactly what you mean about the wooo-wooo-wooo.. Busta has the time of his life every morning when the postman turns up.. Bust sits on the bed looking out the window for him, and when he sees his van off he starts with the woo-woo-woo.. then he pegs it downstairs to the front chair where he woo-woo-woo some more, his long tial wagging like crazy whilst eyeballing the laughing postman.. this happens every day without fail
. Arent Boxers cracking! There is one from next door that JUMPS over the fence to come play with mine! Bit harder work than OES (fur excepted!) but such good natured fun dogs.
Can I Photoshop that pic for you (crop & reduce burn etc) cos that needs to go on yer wall!

Some nice pics on this thread. Just to bring a bit of class, here is Poppy doing her best show photo pose :

Every time you point a camera at her now she does this, a proper show off !
Hasnt been to any shows for the past few weeks as shes been in season, so has spent most of her time whining to get out because she wants a good seeing to, but she seems to have pretty much finished now.

Awww, he is gorgeous and crackers
And hoooooooooge. We've had him up to the field and I am manky now. He is in his crate having a snooze at the minute. Will get some pics if he ever sits still.

The kids adore him already and my Son is chuffed to bits as he went to him first. He found my Sons football and proceeded to chew it to bits
He's been here a couple of hours now.
