I have some comedy tyres that came on the classic which I want to take on the Car Limits day. TBH I thought I would melt these rather than ruin a nice new set of ever vreddys ?

nice decat, caik and remap will see the little zetec up to about 190 -200 nicely. ford had to restrict it to get through emissions. take away the restrictions and will be a whole lot different.

there's loads of good ford garages in essex. or make the trek up to puma speed. iirc ahmed bayjoo works at a garage in romford somewhere. or you've got field motorsport for ford work

that will be grove garage mate... he mapped frayz's cossie IIRC

he was "designing" replacement ECU's back in the 80's when he worked at Dunton.
i did my apprenticeship with his brother Tariq, who was running about in a "ahmed" chipped S1RST back in the day he is highly regarded in the ford mapping world!!

ahmed is very well known in the ford world. i'd take the 170 to grove garage then David.
