As you'll see the blanks have been randomly filled in and matches 8 and 12 have disappeared , but unfortunately, unless I've messed it up (very possible), we had to have one person spare, that person is unfortunately BarryH

It's up to you to organise and post the time/date and referee (I'm sure you can both agree on somebody to ref) your match yourselves but if possible please post the time/date at least a few hours beforehand (or even a day) so spectators can be ready (to wind you up a bit before the game ).

Orb / Mike : Is it possible to limit the number of players to 3 for the duration of the match so that nobody else accidentally joins and restarts the round ? Any ideas ? (But we do want to allow spectators - dont ask for much do I ? )

I did suggest 19:00 - 20:00 be allocated for matches during this week (and maybe until the comp is won) but not had any responses to that so I'll take it that you agree

Please ensure that you join the server to spectate before 19:00 otherwise you may interrupt a match by forcing the game to restart the round (you know like it does when more people join if theres only two on ?)

We can get HLTV up and running for the games. Change the password on the server and everyone except the two players will need to connect to the HLTV server.

having auto assigned are we then staying with that till the 5 deaths (is this fair as CT starting gun is better??- do we care about this? if not forget i mentioned it!)

have we decided on a camper rule? i think this should be VERY clear before we start.

Hmm good questions tiggs.

Map : We said DE_DUST for the first round and subsequent rounds get voted on.

Team selection, we said autoassign on first round for fairness, after that if both parties agree they can switch sides whenever they both agree if they BOTH so wish.

Camper rule : Hmmmm......... I think (and tel me if you dont agree) that we should simply ask people to use common sense i.e No camping for full rounds. Obviously the game itself does induce camping to an extent, it's in the nature of the game. But 1 on 1 does call for a bit of looking around, I'm not asking people to charge around but remember that you are there for one reason only, to kill your opponent (rather than publicise Maplins) !

Whats an autosniper ? - Bl00dy expensive ! Theyre the scoped automatic rifles (the highest numbered in the menus).

Grenades flashbangs,smoke, defuse kits, even nightvision if you like, are all ok !

campers- i still forsee this being an issue but maybe i'm wrong.

eg. i hear footsteps coming so i back into a corner, the footsteps are still nearby so i stay hidden- my opponent is looking around near me for 20 secs or so- i stay hidden- when he finally wanders past i put a round in his head!

have i just camped? what should i have done? run towards his footsteps? why should it be me to go meet him when its him who gave himself away with big boots? etc, etc

maybe this wont be an issue but i thinkits best delt with now.

No, you did not just camp, you played the game as was intended, like I said, we cant ask people to charge around. People will (generally) move around until they do hear footsteps, then no doubt they'll both start walking (probably away from one another :roleyes.

.............Hmmmmmmm, hows about, if a round ends without either playing completing and objective or killing the opponent, thats 1 death each, should it get to 5 each, sudden death !

Second thoughts, unless theres a cascade of 'yeah thats a great idea' we go with 'No mega camping, but waiting (as described above) is ok'

Question time

Even through my mouse in CS is completely screwed (looks liek a complete OS rebuild ) When I have tried to play CS I've noticed that my pings are now in the 300-400 range!
Is this been the norm now (pardon bun ). If it is I don't want to play til I get my adsl connection, 9 days and wishful counting

The HLTV stuff is all configured. It just needs to be started and the password changed on the server.
