What has been your experience of other scooby clubs?
I stalked my new local club on S'net for months before moving, laughed till I cried at some of the **** taking....
I almost felt that I knew people were o.k. before I met them.
Have to say the Wyioc have had issues, but it's about the people not just the cars. First time you will feel isolated, but as said before dive in with both feet and chat to the peeps.
You can't expect to get on with everyone in life, so avoid the friction and keep positive.

I am new to Scoobys and the forum and if anything I felt the opposite at first. (Nothing to do with Surrey Scoobys just my feeling from some on here)
I have a MY97 STI and as you know classics can be had for very little money at the moment. Some comments have been, Scoobys are now chav machines because of the price etc etc.
Well I can’t afford a new age car, I am not a chav and to be honest wouldn't want a new age car anyway I like the classics.
Before I joined when reading some posts I felt like I would not be welcome here because of it. But most of you have been very welcoming and helpful

May I respectfully suggest that instead of you all launching an all out slagging match directed at JP4's post.... that you actually find out WHY he feels that way, in a calm and mature manner.... as if not you're actually coming across in the way he described, and I'm sure that's not in the true spirit of your club

I think the above post is one of the few who has bothered to say something sensible. ofcourse, it's hardly surprising that the SS have come out in numbers! Why did it take this for you all to wake up?
In my first post did I actually say that anyone was jealous of my wr1? So to those who assumed well
. May I say you need to learn to read, digest then respond! There are those owners who own new age that do feel that often certain classic owners don't wave to them so please lets not pretend that all is happy. This does not however apply to all!
Anger - i understood you are banned or atleast got banned recently from SS? Any reasons why?? That's all I have to say you ****!
Besides you have a cheek considering not long ago you were slagging of Scoobynet! You like to dish it but obviously cannot accept when tables are turned onto you.Ratboy - appreciate your second post - seems like you can think, as i said above, people should try and read better of what is being posted up. Scoobs are like many other cars.....BMW's,Jag's,Merc's....dirt cheap to buy but very expensive to fix,and mod.

WellI have had to put new pads and discs on it (due to a front calliper seizing cracking a disc first time I hit them very hard
) and now it needs a Knock sensor (I washed under the bonnet and the sensor had a crack in the casing ) and I am more Pis**d off that I cant use it not the cost to repair it 
But it still looks nice sat on the drive
and I now have more time to clean it properly 
i think the lot of you should arrange a meet! bring your handbags and have a handbag jousting session! heads out the window and see who smugges the most make up off the opponents face! classics v new age. the wr1's can sit in the corner sulking

also, if you've got a problem with the way the club is being handled then why not post on the forum concerned? or at least inform a moderator/admin/site owner of your concerns.

As im in Norbury everyday the next time i see your WR1 parked in Rowan road i'll park next to it and bib a few times and you can come out and say hi
Ive been in the scooby scene for 6 years now and your the only one i can say that seams to have a problem with me just because i wouldnt come for a drink with you
Surreyscoobies has over 400 members and averages 40+ scoobies at most meets even in the winter, if you came to a meet you would see that we all get on
Im not being funny but im not just gonna come and meet you because you have a scoob

Nah, I'm happy with being a member of the NYOSC. But then again it's probably because they don't just jump out and presume but actually listen to their members before reacting. Thank you for your concern however.

when is the next meet ive go to go to brockley in april can you hold off arranging the fight until then? ive got a TYPE R so i might make all of you jellous because mr Subaru says "mines the best"
