Going to the St Albans meet tommorrow afternoon, so i reckon i can pop up to chesterfield first and say hello to a few folk and experience that bizzare thing where you know the car is revving it's nuts off but your eyes are looking at a stationary car

To clarify, i will NOT be running, just coming for the social. If that's ok

I know what you mean Mickey, its actually quite scary when your cars making all that noise, its louder than you actually realise.

When i had my RS done, the exhaust system caught fire, the fan at the front wasn't throwing out enough chuff. and a dirty exhaust system didn't help.

Look forward to seeing you Gridlock but when you are traveling down to St Albans at 80-90 mph thats what it sounds like.
If its anything like last night in ilkeston then it is loud.

Does anyone know if there is a shell garage that sells optimax anywhere near chesterfield ??

 

There is one in chesterfield but not sure where

Try www.shell.com (It will show you on there somewhere)

 

For those of you wanting optimax at Chesterfield .... you'll be wanting the only optimax in town!!

As you leave the M1 at junction 29 ... head towards Clay Cross (first exit if coming from northbound M1) Shell garage is approx 3/4 mile on right hand side. Optimax is 73.9p

Head back to Junction 29 after filling up and head for Chesterfield.

I have just received a fax from John Noble stating that we can run 18 runners and maybe MORE deppending on how the day runs.

KICK OFF 9AM................
ON THE DAY,EACH OWNER MUST REPORT TO RECEPTION WHEREUPON THEY WILL PAY THE APPROPRIATE FEE.I.E £35
YOU WILL BE GIVEN A CARD AND NUMBER.
CARS WILL RUN IN NUMERICAL ORDER OF ARRIVAL.

THERE WILL BE A 30 MIN BREAK FOR LUNCH AT APPROXIMATELY 12.30

TEA+COFFEE WILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY

IF I AM CORRECT THERE IS A CAFE ACROSS THE ROAD (MMMMMMMMM)
