OK...
so the final arrangement is...
bidding will close after Tuesday 2nd at 5:00pm if there has not been a bid for 24 hours. This means that even if it comes to 1 minute after 5:00pm on tuesday and there hasn't been another bid for the last 24 hours, bidding will close.
If budding continues throughout the week, then bidding will close on Friday 5th at 5:00pm
All times are as the scoobynet server's clock. In other words, the times stampted on the posts.
All the best

It's looking good Tony!
One problem I thought of, is we could have a situation where people are going to wait until the last few seconds before 5:00 to then put in a bid above the last one, hoping to clinch it...
If a couple of people are doing this, it may turn into a lottery as to who gets it, and we are potentially doing the charity out of a few quid in the process.
I really should have thought all this through before shouldn't I??!!!!!
sorry..
any suggestions?
One suggestion is that we wait until 5:00...
If there are no more bids, Tony wins!...
If there ARE more bids, it will obviously go on until friday... but then if the bids carry on up to friday at 5:00pm...
If the bidding continues until then, we hold a final bidding session in the chat room live, in the normal manner of an auction?
Sorry, this is so mixed up, I just want to be fair to everyone.
I am already thrilled with the incredible generousity of Tony and everybody who has bid so far, but I just don't want to turn something good into something bad when someone gets fed up because they didn't get their chance to bid / they don't think it was fair?
Thoughts?
Cheers
