any vets about
another update.
Molly seems to be getting slightly better, her electrolytes are getting better and she has changed over sides that she is lying on. The vet checked her a short while ago and she was actually sat up right. She is still on a drip and she is still passing water and the vet said there is less and less blood discolouration in the urine. He is going to try giving her some food later and if she doesnt take it he will syringe it into her. Can hopefully visit her on saturday all being well

Its the one we used to use when we lived nearby so only about 2 miles away so no point in changing. Just glad we didnt have to go the emergency vets around worsley, cost me over £300 once to have some blood analysed

morning update
Massive improvement, dog is now walking around the kennel, albeit a bit shaky. She also had some wet food last night, and this morning she has had some dry food and also some chicken. She's also had a bed bath (she loves baths) and there is a possibilty she may be home tomorror
Personality wise she is brighter and more alert, and we are just awaiting results on the latest blood tests for the electrolyte levels.
Urine is more or less clear now as well so things are looking up

Excellent news
I once had a Labrador pup and had the the most unfortunate experience of coming home from a trip to the shops - 1.5 hours max to find the poor little bollox hanging by the collar on a kitchen drawer handle.
He wasn't so lucky
Thanksfully though I managed to stop my 5 year old daughter (at the time) from seeing it - just though.

bugger bit of a setback
just heard from the vet again, wont be getting her home this weekend as her electrolytes are still up and down and need to be monitored every few hours. I have got to transfer her to the emergency vet in worsley as they offer a 24 hr svs and they can give her the medical attention that she needs.
I have to pay £567.21 tonight and then whatever it is going to cost at the emrgency vets
good news is though I get to see the dog tonight

saw molly tonight, just got back from the pet medic hospital where she now is. Best place for her as its 24hr monitoring etc.
The original vet bill was just over £570 so we have paid that and will wait for that to come back from the insurance. Luckily the hospital will deal direct with the insurance co so we wont need to pay there, this is good as its £70 per night just for staying.
DOg herself recognized me and the mrs which was good and she gave us a few licks but didnt seem to have too much energy this evening. At least she was moving though unlike the other day when I found her.
The hospital told us to ring about 10 ish tonight for an update and we can visit her over the weekend if she stays in.

update,
stillin hospital, she is now walking about albeit it unsteady, but when she needs the toilet she is getting up from her bed and going to wee/poo. She has slightly sloppy stools which apparently is to be expected, her liver enzymes are high, which again the vet said is to be expected, her electrolytes are now okay, however, her white blood cell count is high,m and her red blood count is low.
The white apparently again is to be expected due to the trauma, the red is caused by the internal bleeding which she is still suffering from a little (urine is still blood stained - although I saw her urine the other day when I moved her to the hospital and that seemed fine although I couldnt tell on my shoe!!)
Her red blood count is currently at 33 which is about 7 below normal for a dog with her stats (type/weight/age etc), it only becomes an emergency if it drops to about 20 or below (40ish is the norm) so shes away from that, however they do have blood ready!
Waiting on more blood results tonight, they have already ran some which gave the above, the latest we will have results in about an hours time so fingers crossed hopefully they will show improvement and hopefully we can get her back in a few days

Hope she is OK. I ended up at that emergency vets in Worsley the other night with the fiance's Chihuahua puppy, the daft thing ran behind me when I sat down and I leant back, crushing her. She screamed and cried for ages. I don't think I've ever felt so guilty in my life watching the poor little thing hop away from me squealing and crying.
Drove at something like 200mph with my fiance crying her eyes out fearing the worst thinking I'd caused something really serious as the pup kept falling asleep and couldn't be wakened which is out of character, only to get her on the table with the vet and watch her run around like nothing was wrong.
Ended up paying £75 for about 5 minutes consultation but when it is your dog the piece of mind is worth every penny.
The people at that place were amazing though, so I am sure yours is in good hands. Fingers crossed for you, hope she makes a full recovery and you get her home soon.
