I'm with you on the nVidia GeForce 8800GT 512MB, been reading up on them & they are quite good for the money.

I've decided on this spec which isn't within my budget cause the graphics card has bumped it up a bit more than I'd like but sod it, on the plastic it goes!!!

Can anyone point out any compatibility issues before I buy? I've tried registering on Overclockers forum for info but they say my email address is banned

Anyway, here's what I'm about to buy....

From what I've read & understood to the best of my ability, I've decided to go with this setup...

I think it will perform well for what I will use it for & more importantly, isn't going to break my wallet.
If you are limiting yourself to £100 for a graphics card then the ATI 3850 is the only sensible choice.

You've got yourself a very nice budget system there Except for maybe the motherboard. Its maybe a little too budget when for only £20 odd quids more you can have the Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard a vastly superior board with just loads of expandability for the future on all levels. Oh don't forget to order some thermal paste. I don't know if the Pentium comes with any
