this weekend is going to be soooo good,

not had much to do with the planning lately still learning the ropes with the new job so being very busy with that,

but will be around to make sure the day goes to plan..........

i will be there but dunno if i wana put my car on show might be abit over the top for a show and i dont have any fancy wheels for it yet.

Right guys, the list has grown now to 15 cars that have confirmed plus the caravan and the gazebo, so i think that is about right, for the size of the pitch. so im afraid the the list is now closed, but if anyone would like to put their names down pending any drop outs or other space becoming available then you are welcome to do so....cheers.DEBS

 

What happens about cleaning the cars,is there stuff like taps there?
Sorry if I sound thick but I havent done one of these shows before.

what happens is there is an elephant from flamingo land that comes in a trailer with a water bowser,and you give the owner a £1 and the elephant washes your car for you,and after the chimps go round with a shammy

I think there is a tap there mate, last year we managed ok with buckets, bottled water n loads of quick detailer

 

theres a tap just up from the stand like si say's we were sorted

 

arent scoobys meant to be mucky though? the rally bit in them and all that

 

Not at car shows, the important part of the shows is presentation of each stand, this includes clean cars. It is not a good impression of the club if the cars don't appear to be looked after.

Alot of these car shows have prizes for the best presented stand and clean cars is part of it. You lose points for dirty cars, even for litter in your stand area so its important to make sure everything is as it should be.

 

Thanks for the replies,ive just spent a fair bit on cleaning stuff so if anybody wants to borrow anything just ask,ive got wonder wheel,microfibre cloth,interior shampoo,maguiers wax,interior valet,autoglym shampoo,autoglym polish,maguiers guick detailer and maguiers clay bar system (sorry rich thought id try it myself)........got to say it is awesome stuff,best thing ive ever tried!

No probs Andy, gotta learn some time. lol. I was going to call you about doing the clay bar but with it raining I didn't think you'd want to try it in the wet.

Be very careful with the Wonder Wheels, its a very strong acid based liquid and does damage painted wheels.

 

Well ive been using it for the last year and its been fine but ill keep an eye out for any bubbling

Back on topic.....Right Ive just checked the weather forecast for next weekend, and i don't know if I'm been a bit optimistic, but its does say its going to be DRY (VERY RARE) SUNNY( EVEN MORE) AND NO WIND....unless Paul,, Simon and bri, have and Indian....BRING IT ON CANT WAIT.... DEBS xxxxx

Hiya monkeydile, we dont know weather or not we are camping on fri, till we see what the weather brings,,,hopefully it will be dry then we can get cracking ,,,with the beer of course... keep your eye on this thread i will keep it updated...DEBS
