well yeah but there are loads of off the shelf types available, if you don't change the pistions then your still going to get the same comp ratio with the standard pistons.....good price on the engine tho

can we PLEASE get this GB back ontrack and discuss 2.5 engine builds on another post tbh there are plenty of posts about 2.5 conversions done previously by forum members that is why we have the search facililty!

has this got to be 10 for the group buy to go ahead?

Oh, and does anyone know of any decent companies that would be able to ship one to Germany without it costing me an arm and a leg?

You could also make enquires here ask for Brett RenickMotorSports.com I bought one last January from him. Although, it was $1495 in Jan 07 I had it delivered with all gaskets inc taxes for £1150. The dollar is weaker now so I would expect you can still get close to that figure. They delivered mine within the week & Alan Jeffreys in Plymouth did a fine job building / fitting / mapping it. On standard Sti heads & standard turbo it kicked out 332bhp & 370 torque @ slightly under 6k revs. Highly recommended!

Hey mate I do want a 2.5 at a good price however I would like one with uprated rods and pistons and race bearings.

afaik its a striaght swap with your current short block, take off your existing and fit to the new, easy as pie!!!!!
