Exclamation How about an anachronim for the infractiors

I propose

S-H-I-T's

Scoobynets
Hidden
Infraction
Team (could be Tossers)

Obviously it is not aimed at all infractos, just the exclusive club of those who see it ther duty, ne right to police SN for morals, etc to thier own odd std.

S_H_I_T's works, for example
posts in policy could read;
Which S_H_I_T just infracted me for saying ******
or
Why don't the little S_H_I_T's just get a life!
or
Webbie please have a word with the S_H_I_T who keeps infracting me for no more than expressing an opinion...

(Currently watching flushed away and awaiting an infraction)

OK, who wants to have a guess at who is the most prolific Infractor (under all their aliases)?

And what do you think these actions gives them, feelings of power in their otherwise powerless worlds maybe?

LOL (can we stil LOL without be penalised?!?) Maybe i should infract you for not infracting me as it could possibly be that i deserve it, but, now you would know it was me and not one of the S-H-I-T's that did it (see, it works).

Question

Or

How about the infractanati, bit like the illuminati only sadder and no Dan Brown or Tom Hanks

Lifted from wikipedia and changed a tad

infractanati is a name that refers to several groups. Historically, it refers specifically to the SN infractanati, an Enlightenment era secret society founded in the late part of Jan 08. It refers to a purported conspiratorial organization which acts as a shadowy power behind the Webmaster, allegedly controlling SN affairs In this context, infractanati is often used in reference to a (S)New World Order (NWO). Many conspiracy theorists believe the infractanati, or the "Assclowns", are the masterminds behind a spate of infractions serving no purpose on SN - events that will lead to the establishment of such a SNew World Order.

Job Done, off to smoke some crack and beat up some grannies with me Rottie (obviously the rottie does not smoke crack, he is a Stella man)

Vision of Rottie in grubby white vest.....

Excuse a noob sticking his oar in. I don't know what SN was like before the infraction system came in, maybe someting needed to be done. However, if my understanding of the infraction system is correct, it seems very difficult for the infractee to defend themselves, and there should be an "undo" option for the infractor, so that after seeing that the rest of the postees feel it is unjustified it could be withdrawn. But then again, are they the sort of person that would do that?

It does seem all a bit Barbera Whitehouse, or American V chip. If someone post something that offends you, either ignore it, try and be sensible about the reply YOU post, or sit back and watch if the community rip the "offensive" post to bits, and THEN report it to the mods.

I don't think there's an easy answer to this.

Yes, there is. Leave decisions about whether posts are unwanted to a team of moderators selected for their even-handedness, experience and maturity.

We once had a system like that.

Why, though?

Is the site now purely an advertisement board with posters that are merely required for the ad income?

Moderators used to be long term posters that were seen as 'normal' and actually used to contribute.

Who are the moderators now? I've no idea.

Have to agree. Mods don't seem very active lately.

Not seen a mod post other then NAF.

There used to be 10-20 of them and they were all just normal members deemed acceptable to moderate through good behaviour.

I concur, Reg.

It seems I'm quite partial to an infraction or two myself. A load of old b0ll0cken if you ask me.

A difference in opinions and get walloped with the great big red tag. I feel sorry for these infractor types.........for **** sake, it is not my fault that they are crap at the Horizontal Olympics, is it?

It's a good job that Snet hat recently been sold, because it is now in free fall and depreciating like a used condom.

******* pathetic.

DJ Vinyl Ritchie...............please excuse my derogatory tone, I've had several pints of Tourettes this evening
