I've got a serious point (I know it makes a change )

But, how comes so many owners of the later models have modified the bodywork on their cars? Where as (apart from the occasional stickered version) most classics have been left alone, with only the mechanical side be altered?

Good point there Ed.

BTW, shouldn't you be on the M25 by now?

Maybe so, but the WRC wins argument is still in the Classics favour

Overall WRC manufacturers results, the classic is the only model to have won Subaru the Manufactures title three times....in 95,96,97.

PMSL at this thread kicked it off for a laugh, and come back less than 24hours later to see all this.

I must admit I do have a soft spot for the classic.

I mean if it wasn't for the classic we would not have ended up with the better looking faster Newage

To be honest, my first choice of Scoob would be a 22b this wins hands down for me everytime!, my second ultimate scoob would be the S203 (Blobeye, eh Fozzy)

Default Wagons

Wagons all the way!

If I wanted to compete in a rally, then I'd get a saloon.

But I prefer to load up the back with all my s***e, so it's gotta be a wagon.

As for newage being an improvement....as I recall there is no longer a saloon option for the newage for 2008.....they are all 5 door....so if they take the best bits and improve....then the wagon must be an improvement of the saloon

This is brightening up an otherwise c**p day.

If all this "which is better" goes on WRC wins then we had all better watch out because that will prove that a Citroen Xsara/C4 is better than a scoob with the way Loeb is going!

lol, only if you define better as;

bigger,

heavier,

slower,

more like a Corolla\Seat etc etc
