Where did you buy your copy of CoD4 from?

My mate has had the same problem.

His copy of CoD4 came from Ebay. It's an original version but apparently its a US version and the download is for a UK version and so won't work. Just what he has been told. He has downloaded it about 5 times and still no joy.

 

Mine also came from a Ebay Shop Ste. Was advertised as a UK Version, but i'n unsure how to tell the difference??

I'll email the Ebay Shop and see what they have to say. Thanks M8

Right had a reply from the Ebay seller. It's actually a Region free version. But when u look on the back of the box it says for sale in the USA.

It wasn't advertised as a UK version that way my mistake. The seller said he's gonna look into it and see what he can come up with as a fix.

Duplicate post due to fat fingers and a small iphone.

 

I managed to download early evening on Thurs and using double point have moved from level 43 to prestige1/15.

I got killed by snipers first game in creek and then learnt to snipe and a 14 streak in that first game (I found a quiet spot and people were exploring the maps for the first time).

Things have gotten harder as the weekend moved on as every becomes familiar withthe maps. Broadcast is strange as it seems to change between everyone running or sniping (and everyone inside or outside). Reminds me of vacant a lot.

I has snet as a tag but never saw another.

As I said, my mate had the same problem. He has since bought a UK version from GAME (2nd hand) and it worked first time, so it was definitely the game in his case.

 

Did he loose his saved games and Ranking Ste ??

 

I would have expected that to be saved to yourlogin.

 

No mate, that's all held on the HD or on their server.

Only evenings I cannot do are Tuesday and Fridays as they are training nights.

I can do Friday and sat, at ten though.

Luckily I have a television just for the ps and wii.

Been sold a none UK Version of the game Dave so the maps won't work with it. Now i know i won't loose anything by purchasing a proper UK version i think i'll do that and then sell the other one on Fleabay!!

Had a great afternoon with it yesterday, playing with the Homes from USA, clan tag DaMob, they were **** hot all using Microphones to tell us what they were up to, went up 3 classes in 3 hours lol .

I thought there was meant to be a killhouse stage but i`ve never come across it. Has anyone played it yet???

 

I think the Killhouse level is only played on certain game types. I've never played it either but I only really play team-death-matches.

It's similar to Shipment (the small level with all the containers) that only appears on certain game types too.

 

Possibly just for one vs. one, I imagine.

 

Iv'e played the killhouse on 1v1, It's basically like the training level on the single player game - "carboard cutout" rooms etc.

You wouldn't really want to play an 8v8 on there - But its no smaller than the tiny level with the containers that you sometimes get on the tactical rotation.
