Ignore the naysayers and keep posting. I am interested to see what you come up with as haven't built a PC for nearly 2 years so will be good to see what goes into it and what the perfromance is like once it is built.
One thing, if you are putting a lot of peripherals in it will need plenty of cooling fans and if it is to be near you I would seriously consider getting some quiet ones from QuietPC or the likes as otherwise the noise can be intrusive.
My PC has 7 fans in it and I can hardly hear it.
