Music for your Funeral ?
Looking for some inspiration, I found a site dedicated to this ...
Music At My Funeral, musicatmyfuneral.com
Some interesting choices.
For me.
Beethhoven - Moonlight Sonata (background music)
Drug Ballad - Eminem
Mad World - Gary Jules
The Unforgiven - Metallica
For comedy value, maybe Another One Bites the Dust - Queen.

Something by Gomez, or maybe Damien Rice - Blowers Daughter:
YouTube - Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter (Without Film Clips)
Man, that Damien Rice track kills me. Bottle of chardonnay and that full blast and i'll blab like a baby.

I've always thought that "The Rainbow Connection" as sung by Kermit would be rather good (used to good effect in the "I will play for you the banjo" you tube video)
"Let me entertain you" by Robbie Williams would also be another possible contender, as I've been known to amuse people by just being me.
"Bright Eyes" Art Garfunkel. Love the song, always have done, plus it does have a bearing on death, and of course there is the rabbit connection.
"A Whiter Shade of Pale" King Curtis
"Goodbye" Corduroy
"Don't fear the reaper" Blue Oyster Cult (ok, ok, so that's a bit of a jokey entry, but it might raise a few smiles)
"Baker Street" Gerry Rafferty - Dunno why, just like the song.
There *has* to be a Madness track in there too, but I think I'll go for a double dose with "House of Fun" and also "Wings Of a Dove"

. My husband has always said he'd like this one!At my best mate's funeral, she had 'We've Got all the Time in the World' by Louis Armstrong. It was the song her and her husband had played at their wedding. Gutting.

Guaranteed that he will never be forgotten, can't ask for anything more once you're gone.
(will keep a mental note of that one!)

An old acquaintance had "We shall be released", by The Band(?) for his Girlfriends funeral.
Great song I reckon, but would get the tears flooding at a funeral, which if that's what you want...
I prefer something more uplifting. The M&W thing is brilliant...
Song wise, perhaps, "You can't always get what you want", by the Stones, would be what I would want. I hope I'd get it!
Great song, feels good, bit of a choir thing at the end.
Hold on, I would have to have an Islamic burial, little scope for music I'm afraid. I know, I'll have a big party and a pi$$ up afterwards, perhaps get the Stones to come and perform? They'll probably still be gigging then!

PS This is all assuming (and hoping) I will expire during my dotage and not before!
