Howdy folks!
Just to let you know that as a Scientologist, Hightee Butzlaff has made it onto Operation Clambake.

You have no idea of the scams that the cult members operate. Hightee is just a beginner!
Operation Clambake is NOT a pro-Scientology website, BTW.
Also, if anyone is interested, Hightee is named after a character in one of Lafatty Ron Hubbard's fiction works, Hightee Heller in the tedious, sex-crazed 10-volume Mission Earth series.

Hightee Heller
What were her parents on when they named her that? Crack or Scientology? Pretty much the same thing. Actually crack might be safer.

well if you want to split hairs.. IMO a redirect away from the origional site is due to it being no longer online, hence offline
anyways back on topic, shes hot!
oh no wait, back on the right topic.. what a bitch!
I've mentioned this thread to some friends of mine (no surprise there) and I got back two really good comments:
(I do like the variations on a theme going on in the first extract
)
Perhaps "vigilante" was a bad choice of words considering that this is an era where a well-meaning member of the public who restrains a criminal in the act is likely to find himself up in front of the bench for assault.
I don't, btw, see anything wrong with what the Scoobynet crew have done.
If Ms. Buttslapper feels she has been wronged, defamed, injured or suffered an intrusion of her privacy I'm sure she will be able to resort to the full force of the law - funded, no doubt, by you and I through the legal aid system.
I do, however, see a problem where there is so little faith in the machinery of justice that nobody felt it worth insisting that the wronged parties approach the police.
Ms Buttkrack has chosen to publish data about herself in a number of public fora (and indeed invites publicity as an "artist"), and like any other would-be celebrity must understand that fame cuts both ways.
I also note that the moderators of the scoobynet thread and publishers of the website have taken some care ("reasonable steps"?) to ensure their publication of material fact and their opinions concerning those facts remain within the bounds of reason and the law.
At the end of the day I suspect that the scam was based on the notion that eBay and PayPal have limited recourse against an individual, and that the police are unlikely to pursue such a matter leaving the (expensive!) option of litigation and thereby throwing good money after bad.
I actually think this is *better* than involving the law. She has been publicly humiliated and is highly unlikely to try anything like this again. The justice has been meted out for free (or as near as damn it), and she will provide restitution (returning the money), or else. So no expensive police, courts, fines/gaol. Lesson learned. Victim has money returned and gets some cathartic revenge as well. This is probably the best outcome for *everybody*, even the scammer - after all, she is avoiding a criminal prosecution.

You guys did a very thorough job on this chick and I'm sure she is feeling the full force of the power of the internet at the moment. She was without doubt a scam artist, and mob justice exposed her... even down to her bikini. Since there was no doubt about her guilt, the time, trouble and expense of going to court has been saved. I would not like to be on the wrong end of this sort justice, particularly if innocent...
Anyway - you may be interested to know that she will almost certainly get booted out of the Church of Scientology, which HATES this kind of negative publicity. The sad truth is that her family and boyfriend (all Scientologists) will not be allowed to communicate with her at all so long as she is "declared" (ex-communicated). That will probably get her more down than she already is, but in the long run you guys have done her a favor - and saved her years of being brain-washed at vast expense. You'd have to rip off a lot of Wii's to pay for Scientology.
She was probably desperate for money to pay for some space alien secret level of Scientology... but that is the end of that for her! Now she'll be allowed to watch South Park.
Way to go, guys!

Wasn't thinking of the scammers feelings when they scammed me
