Simon, congratulations. Its always good to see someone with a decent exit strategy which is something I'd want for myself if I wasn't so lazy sucking at the corporate teet. Good to see true entrepreneurs being rewarded.

Quite. It was on the cards and has been handled well.
Well done, Simon. Enjoy your winnings!

Well done Simon.
I have been here for many years now (and even further back under a different username) and have seen this site change a lot.
I remember when I used to recognise the vast majority of the usernames, the kick off Scoobysport back boxes, Salsa King making stickers for everyone, and the general buzz there was around this new exciting AWD turbo car.
Its still good, just very different now, which is natural due to the massive size!
I'm sure you dont remember who everyone is, but good luck from me!

My first time at Rally GB, and what did I find out from a stage marshall during shakedown on Friday? "Did you hear Simon sold Scoobynet?"
IB has been buying up sites left and right, and the only big enthusiast forum segment they didn't have was a Subaru site. I didn't read this whole thread, but if I recall, Ryan from IB owns an STI, so it should be a good fit.
Best of luck, Simon.

Thanks again guys
I've been genuinely touched by all your comments. Having put so much of your time and energy into something which has taken so much of your life away for such a long time, its great to know that it was appreciated, and aside from any business side to it, that I've been supporting the community I always thought it was.
Often its easy to focus on the tiny minority who like to moan and whinge, as they're the ones I end up having to talk to a lot of the time. It really is great to hear from you all!

In fact.. I'm planning to write an ebook on the inside story of buying, running and selling scoobynet, worts and all. The legals, the commercials, the finances, the personalities, the lies, the wonderful moments, the world record, the scoobynews CD and what really happened, etc, etc, etc
Well I've got to do SOMETHING with the spare time!
