Sorry to hear this sad news - very difficult for you and your wife to come to terms with.

My daughter was born with the cord knotted, but it only pulled tight as she was delivered.

**** man.... awful news..... I am sure you and your wife are feeling terrible.

I know it is absolutely no consilation, but my sister lost her baby, and the doctors told her that when this happens your fertility shoots up and she was pregnant again very quickly..... this is assuming your wife and you would want to try again quickly.

Take care Matt

Matteeboy
Take care my friend, be strong and let the tears roll, and sometimes we think we've had a bad day.

Be thinking of you on Saturday.
RIP little one

Can't really add any more than I've already said in the Other Marques thread.

November is always the Month of Rememberance and your are always going to remember Joseph.

Be strong for each other next Saturday and in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Many people's thoughts will be with you next Saturday especially from those who have experienced similar.

We called him Joseph and bury him next Saturday - his due date.

Sorry to put such a downer on the board.
Needless to say, wife and I are finding it very very hard indeed. We do have astonishing support from friends and family.

The passing of a child at what ever age can consume you both so be strong.

Take Saturday as it comes, but understand you will never now be alone.

Friends, family both past and present will gather.
Someone will be a rock for you both to aid you through the day. So take stock, cherish and retain those thoughts and look towards the horizon.

My most heartfelt condolences to you all

I'm so sorry to read this news.

The same thing happened to me and a friend of mine sent me this

Wishes
If I could have a lifetime wish
A dream that would come true.
I'd pray to God with all my heart for
yesterday and you..
A thousand words can't bring you back,
I know because I have tried.
And neither will a million tears
I know because I've cried.
You left behind my broken heart
and happy memories too.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.

Take care of each other

I have been reading your 'expecting' thread for the last few months, you and your wife sound like you will be fantastic parents. Nothing can be said to make up for what's happened, but time does heal and you will be fantastic parents You are in our thoughts.

Thanks so much everyone.
For the expectant parents here - please don't panic.

He was a completely healthy baby but the cord knotted (probably early in the pregnancy) and I assume it tightened as he grew.
My wife was a bit worried about lack of movement.
We went to the midwife -she couldn't find a heartbeat. We rushed to hospital, they scanned her - our world fell apart.
Labour was awful but not as bad as expected - my wife was incredibly brave.

He will be buried on his due date (17th Nov) at a beautiful local church. We miss him dearly. We had five minutes with him and although he had already passed away, we will treasure those moments forever.

Lots of talking, crying and love are helping us through it.

Words fail me! I don't think I can say anything that hasn't been said - sure puts things into perspective - life is fragile, we don't realise just how fragile - this year (for me at least) has been full of loss - what sad sad news for the whole of your family - and you are both SO brave!
My wishes and love go out to you all xx

Matteeboy :
So so sorry to hear ur terrible news. Being a father i have a little understanding of what u might be going through but im sure its actually 10 fold. You sound very positive and strong from your posts. Me and my family send you our deepest condolences.
Like someone posted earlier things happen for a reason, we may not know what the reason is but they do work themselves out.
I am pleased you were able to spend a small precious amount of time with him and you can both treasure that for the rest of ur lives.
God bless you both and little Joseph.
look after each other.
