In the JDM brochure scans it says it has 300bhp. Surely the 330bhp rumours can not be correct??

Looks pretty good, love the Integrale-like wide arches! Could even tempt me away from my R32 in 2 years time, when the 3 years lease is up and the STI will also then have paddle-shift ( cannot go back to a stick after the fun of DSG ).

The text says it is a 2 litre, why are Subaru not using the 2.5 as in the current STi?
Needs a 2.0l for homologation purposes,if Subaru are to carry on in the WRC.

Had a good look around a Wrx whilst on holiday in Canada last month.Wasn't bad quality wise.Dealer had a white one in,which looked ok.Asked him how they were selling, and he said they couldn't get enough of them at the moment!

This one looks a whole lot better, might be quite a good seller,as long as they don't price it too high.

If the UK one is the same, then i can see my 05STi being traded in for one, notice the 8K red line..!

I thought i heard before that this time the UK version will not be watered down compared to the JDM.

****, just read elsewhere that the UK STi will be a 2.5 - Damn i prefer the high revving 2.0.

I still think all these pici's are of the GT-S with STi badges on.

Where the STi trade marks????

Front foglight covers, single tail pipes, gold wheels?????

Just wait and see what its like, it'll look better than the above in my opinion.

Looks brilliant!!

Pity the WRX will be awful in comparison - because I think the WRX would be the big seller amongst the enthusiasts.

The STi will be around £25,000 ... there are a lot of options for that money.

The WRX at £19,000 rings more value bells.

The Japanese 2.0 litre would escape the band G tax too - but we get the 2.5 putting it firmly into the supertax of road fund licence!!

I "heard" that there might be two variations of the STi.

A "normal" one, as shown here and a WRC edition with "extras" Hope it's true!

Early indications Pete are that the 2.0ltr JDM will be £2000.00 more than the UK so there goes the tax savings

Yes, I meant the S-GT,

I dont believe they are pictures of the STi, nobody really knows as Subaru have only released 2 pictures and they were both taken in the dark for some reason

Called into Local Dealers yesterday, He as 4 WRX imprezas in stock, looking quite impressive, he then went on to show me official Subaru UK advertising blurb and pictures of the STi, yes there will be an official UK Sti available through dealers, it's like a WRX on steroids, Big wing arches etc and looks the dogs dangglies, he also went on to tell me there would be a special stripped out version, the numbers of the WRX had now increased from 300 up to 500 and the STi around 200. must say even the WRX finish looks pretty good with doors that clunk shut.

Bulldog at Twyford have put two demonstrators on the road and changed the grille on both of the, to black mesh and body colour - HUGE improvement as it gets rid of the ugly, UGLY, BLUDDY UGLY chrome. The car looks totally different - for the better!

Now all they've got to do is get rid of the chrome on the back too.

Its starting to become a very nice car, only the Sti though, the WRX is a little soft looking.

I dont like those 5 spoke wheels on the Sti either, the boyracer that lives in my street has almost identical wolfrace ones on his max power corsa, its just not in good taste!!

Will the dealers be getting STI demonstrators before March - definitely want to see one in the flesh first before deciding if I want to get one.

Phoned the dealer I bought my last car from today (Town and County) and they reckon it will be March before they will have an STI demonstrator.Thought there would have had demonstrators before that if they want people to order the new STI for the new reg in March.I definitely would not order one without seeing it in the flesh or driving it first.

I agree with funnycar and bmac about seeing and driving one prior to purchase. Rang my dealer for a bit of information, he basically laughed and said he will ring me in March. Not expecting a test drive or anything before then!!!

He did send the official Subaru press release to me though.
