scoobyworld spoilers are not quite exact replicas as the brake light on the original is white with a colour coded bottom part and the replicas are red with no base but they doo fit quite well even though you do have to drill holes in the bootlid to pull the centre flush with the bootlid
I'm well happy with mine anyway

i used the bolts that were supplied with the spoiler they have a 10mm head and about 20mm long some of them have a cross head so you can use a screwdriver to nip them up and a 10mm socket to finish them off.The spoiler are pre threaded so no drilling required.I used 2 bolts in the middle and 2 bolts on each end of the spoiler, sits nicely now

Well thanks to DRM i've fitted the spoiler today
They sent me some more fixings (bolts and locating strips) so i drilled another 4 holes near the centre of the spoiler.
The 4 bolts then screwed in from under the lid into pre-threaded hole already in the spoiler and this pulled the base down so it now sits flush on the lid.
The spoiler already had some 3m typa tape all the way around the edge but i also used some adhesive in patches so it should be secure
not 100% perferct on the finish quality but for the price it can't be beaten

as mentioned above for the price of £300 painted i'd recommend DRM - just use the extra bolts and it'll be ok

Blimey that was quick . Looks good Robby.
How does the brake light cable / connector on the spoiler connect to the existing wiring loom. Is it compatible or was modification required.
Looking forward to getting mine now.
Since my car is black, i think any gap between the spoiler base and the boot lid would be less obvious.

Tissy - the brake light in the spoiler has a wire comming out at the origional side (o/s) - just cut off the connector from the old spoiler and crimp it onto the wire on the new spoiler then it plugs into the connector on the boot lid

Remember a Subaru genuine one is 3 times more expensive at almost £1000.
I didn't drill any extra holes, but the fit is good. I also like the clear brake light and the trim underneath it.
I notice that scooby-tc had to drill 4 new holes to fit the Scoobyworld spoiler. I'm not brave enough to tackle a nice new bootlid with a Black and Wrecker.
But to open up one of the holes by a couple of mm is not too bad, just put some paint on it now to protect it.

I thought that they also provided tape to go all the way round the spoiler to make it sit flush
Were the holes already drilled in the middle of the spoiler?
Dont tell me if wasted another £300

the spoiler has 3m type tape all around the edge of the spoiler so when the bolts are tightened the base is pulled down to the boot lid and the tape then holds it.
The spoiler has threads comming out of its base which go through the 4 holes in the boot lid which are from the origional spoiler.
if you drill the 4 extra holes like i did you should get some locating strips and the 4 bolts (not sure why these aren't included - DRM did send me these free on request though), after drilling the hole the bolts go from under the boot lid into pre-drilled holes in the base of the spoiler which are already threaded.
my spoiler now has 8 bolts, 3m tape and sealant in places holding it on so should be secure
Trial fit the spoiler without peeling the tape off and if it doesn't sit flush in the middle like mine dind't ask for the extra fixings - well worth it

the ones in blue are the 4 hole left by the standard spoiler and the 4 in red are the new ones drilled
btw - you need a deep 10mm socket for 2 of the bolts as they sit deep in between the skin and chassis of the boot lid (£4.29 from halfords)

excuse if im being thick but, how do you know where the pre drilled holes in the spoiler are when the spoiler is on the car?
Also does drm supply these extra bolts free of charge, i have just emailed him asking for them.

DRM sent me the extra bolts and the locating strips free
when you look at the spoiler from underneath (before fitting) you'll see the extra fixing holes, screw the bolts in to clean the threads as paint might have got in there.
Put the spoiler onto the boot lid and holding it up slightly push the locating strip underneath. The strip has a raised bit which sits in the spoiler hole, push it in and seat the spoiler onto the boot lid.
Now you'll have the spoiler on the lid with the plastic strips hanging out, tape the strips to the lid using masking tape to stop it moving.
When you lift up the spoiler you'll now have the plastic strips left on the boot lid.
The raised parts which were sat in the spoiler holes are stuck up and you now have these in the exact position where you want to drill the holes.
Drill a small pilot hole through the raised bit (it's got a hole through already) and then move onto the next.
When you've drilled the pilot hole you can then enlarge them so the bolts will fit through.
It's a bit difficult to explain without showing but when you see the spoiler and locating strips you'll understand
this is the 1st time i've ever attempted fitting a spoiler myself as i usually pay a bodyshop to do it but it seemed easy enough - if i can do it then anyone can

Yeah i used the 4 original holes and the two in the middle (6 altogether), I forgot to use the tape though as the spoiler was already on when I remembered about it. Hopefully it will be OK with the 6 holes. Yeah I did get the clear brake light, looks spot on

Quick couple of shots of mine.
I managed to use the rubber grommet which surrounds the brake light wire on the old WRX spoiler on the new one so the seal is the same there.
I also used rubber washers top and bottom on each of the 4 securing bolts aswell as the original nuts. So all being well it should be a good water-tight seal and i only used 4 bolts and the seating on the boot lid is good.
