Counter Strike PC upgrade
Tiggs - as your PC is a patriot I presume it is a slimline desktop. In other words the case isn't very big. Unless your PC is fairly new ie under 15mths old I wouldn't consider upgrading the old PC. Instead you replace it.
For about £420 you could get the following spec PC which would easily out-perform anything that you would do for £300 upgrade on your patriot PC.
CPU - Athlon 1Ghz 266FSB + Heatsink £72approx
Graphics Card - GeForce 2 MX200 32MB £40 approx
H/D - IBM Deskstar 40GB Hard Drive - £80 approx
Sound Card - SoundBlaster 4.1 Digital - £25 approx
CDROM - 50x Speed Drive - from £25
Memory - 256MB DDR 2100 RAM - £50 approx
Case - Midi Tower with 300W Power Supply - £40approx
Motherboard - DDR Board - £100 approx
Then again, if you just play CS and nothing else then purchase some more RAM - 128MB is about £25 and defrag your H/D and see if that cures your problem.

Hey peeps, quick question for ya
Currently I am running a 1.3ghz, 256 ram with 64 graphics cards. The graphics card don't work with the halflife engine so I currently get 60 fps, now I want between 70 and 100 fps.
I have an old voodoo 3000 16 meg graphics card, and I am thinking that if I bung this card in my comp insted of my 64meg one halflife should be able to use this graphics card. However will this improve my fps or will it be a watse of time?

OpenGL is fine, thats what I use for my card. IMHO you wouldn't see any benefit from using your voodoo3 with the 3dfx mini-driver to what u are running now. FPS is really down to the power of the card. So if you swaqp your GF2 to a voodoo3 you wuold be downgrading your performance, not increasing it.
You got the lastest drivers for your GF2, r u also running NVMAX util.
