I don't hear people from down south moaning about northerners this and that. Who cares, we're all from England, last time I checked
Its because you put extra 'r's in words that don't need them!

Yes it was American and I have forgotten the name. But I did spend a long time at Finningley so I know the Donny area well enough

...and what about the northern (Lancs/Chesh) "ing" on words like 'ringing' unlike those southern types who totally miss off the "ing" on such words. Tut tut.

I'm from sarf London so anything north of the Thames is a foriegn country with strange dialects to me!

Anyway,I blame them Romans, they built that Hadrians Wall about
200 miles to far north.

You tend to forget that everyone has different accents on "t'internet" - I always assume everyone sounds like me!

It could be chip "butties", not sure why we would eat chips inside some baby footwear

Lancs is best btw, although I'm only 10 miles from Yorkshire.

I thought Mock The week was really funny, as I do most weeks

I am Northern and don't have a problem with a different accent, can just take time to get used to it.

I generally don't get complaints about my accent, just that I can talk too fast, but I'm a woman with plenty to say

I do find it quite funny that as yet, people seem to regard Yorkshire as the furthest point North within England

10 correct: on your way to being a settler.
25 correct: a native!
28 correct: It’s time you brushed up on your “Queen’s English”!

Alcazar
oh dear, I'm barely a native. Still Donny's South Yorkshire

How about 'Put wood int'ole'.. Never felt the need to say it personally, but it's a good one for confusing non-Tykes.
