Our thoughts with the family and friends of Mr McRae
Such a tragic loss and as said many times before on here - He is the reason I have one on my drive too!
Dave and family

Very well worded tribute, Simon. Very sad news.
RIP Colin and the little Mcrae, plus others who passed away in such tragic circumstance. May their families gain strength to bear the losses with our prayers and sympathy for them.

The many words already posted echo my thoughts.
A very sad loss for his wife, daughter and all the McRae family.
The memories I have of seeing Colin masterfully drive a rally stage will live with me forever. God rest his soul.

What very very sad news. A true hero.
Condolences to his and his passengers families.
Brings a lump to my throat.
RIP.
I would definetly be up for doing something to mark a great mans life.

RIP Colin, Johnny & Friends
Another one stolen stolen from our hearts. One of the worst losses. His wife and daughter must be going through hell, to loose your husband in this way and your son. Tragic. Words cannot express my feelings. I was there in 1995 at Chester when Colin won WRC championship, a very proud moment for me and the gang. You WILL be missed. RIP Colin, Johnny and friends.
I would like to do something towards his life in the sport even if it's just to go to the Snowman Rally. Something should be done !!!

Didn't hear about this till it was mentioned during the Grand prix today.
I'm finding it quite surreal to think of one the rally greats meeting his end in this manner only 45 minutes from where I live. Even though iIdidn't own a Subuaru at the time, his driving certainly brought the marque to mind ! I can remember the joy, not only of a British driver winning the WRC, but of the intense way Colin drove - never ease off, always 100% !
Glad to see Gus the Bus and the lads paid an impromptu tribute.
Suggest an organised Subaru drive by/meet with a us contributing to one specific charity, in his memory.

I first saw Colin in '95 when he won his first WRC rally, I was taking pix for the local car magazine.
At the end of event dinner he signed my 555 team shirt which I still have safely tucked away...
There is a WRC drivers photo from around this time with the three Subaru drivers, Possum Bourne, Richard Burns and of course Colin McRae... all three great men taken well before their time.
Thanks to the guys who paid respects in Scotland you are in our news here in New Zealand ! NZ Herald: Accidents News from New Zealand and around the World

You could always count on Colin, he would be so 100%, always a spectacle. The way he drove was supernatural, he will be missed so much.
Thanks Colin, you brightened our lives.
