RIP Colin and son.
My mind goes back to Bertie Fisher who died in very similar circumstances.
A massive loss to the rallying community and British motorsport as a whole.
I hope we see some kind of official tribute from Subaru and/or some big gathering of some kind.
My condolences to the ones Colin leaves behind.

Peace be with you.
Rest in peace Colin, Johnny, Ben and Graeme.
My thoughts go to the families and friends.
We've lost a hero (it's the only word that fits).

Offical Messages Of Condolance
Just a thought, I've printed this from the McRae website, trimmed it and placed in car.
follow this for the image only http://www.colinmcrae.com/header.jpg
looks subtle and appropriate.

Stunned when I heard the news this morning...
Still can't believe it. The world is a sadder place today.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends...
R.I.P Colin

My thoughts and condolances go to the families who lost their loved ones in such a tragic way, Colin will always remain in our thoughts because champions never leave you, their memory and the impression they made on you as a person lasts forever.
You made a huge imnpression on my life because if it had not been for you i would have never gone to watch so much rallying and i doubt i would have ever owned a subaru, thanks mate as you helped so many people to improve their lives and you left us with such great memories of a true champion.
RIP Colin

My wife woke me with this news this morning!!
Words are immaterial at a time like this, a great man and his son should not exit the world in such a way!!
I buried my old boss, 44, Friday another man who inspired me (Terminal Cancer and thought stuff it and bought himself an s2000 to enjoy his last days)!!
I knew neither as well as I should and find myself lacking in character when it comes to paying tribute to either!!
Legends boths!!
Goodbye Peter (my boss) and Colin

A small tribute to a great man who I never had the pleasure to meet. But that doesn't stop me from being sad at the loss, as that means I will never get to meat the great man.
My sugestion would be a central meet donate some money to create a tribute.

But there is already a huge annual meeting of Subaru's...................... Scooby Shoot Out. Could the two be combined? Or SSO be run in Colin and Richards memory? Then at least some of the ground work for organising it would be done.
Most racetracks have corners named after drivers aswell.
Handling course could be the McRae bends.
Drag strip could be the Burns straight.
Thoughts?
