This has actually brought tears to my eyes. Again like others, I think that he is the reason why Subaru are as well known as they are and he was a true great.
Gutted. RIP Colin, you will be missed.

I sold the last of my Scoobys 2 years ago now so haven't posted or even viewed this site for almost that amount of time.
As soon as I heard this news I knew there was only one place to truelly understand the loss among people who feel the same way.
I, like all of us am gutted! Such a massive loss, a guy I never knew or met but he always made my hair stand on end whenever he was either on TV or appearing at an event.
Such a shame.

Only just heard the terrible news....
I am now typing this with tears in my eyes. I am a huge rallying fan, and as a young boy went to the RAC every year with my Dad, mainly just to see Colin in his Subaru...
This year my dream came true and I bought my first Impreza, all thanks to the memories I have of Colin sideways through the Welsh forest.
Colin, you will be sadly missed by all, a true modern day legend.
Thoughts to the McRae family at this awful, awful time.

Having had the pleasure of sitting next to Colin in his Group A Cosworth I can only say WHAT A NICE GUY, a true AMBASSADOR for the sport.
Although it has not been confirmed yet, I do fear the worst.
My condolences go out to his family and friends.
Arron.

He was my all-time hero, and the reason I bought my scoob.
To say he will be sorely missed is an understatement, and I pray his son wasn't with him with all my heart.
It was a travesty that he wasn't still in WRC, and goes to prove how much that sport has contributed to it's own downfall.
RIP to an absolute legend.
