Daz, I was hoping to be done and dusted by dinnertime, you'd better give Casey a ring around when you can make it, and see if we're still there

See you all in a while

Brilliant day! Massive thanks to all the chaps at Dyno Demon, and to all the smacs lads, and newbies, for turning up and running. Thanks to Dave from Total Scooby Mag for coming down and covering the event too. I'll do a proper post later, but I'm off to watch Hamilton win the world championship

That was my first rolling road run and for an almost standard Classic just with rear decat putting out 223bhp was a suprise for me. A very interesting time there and thanks to Casey and the Dyno team for fitting my run in at the end of the day.

just wanted to make a point that my figure 0f 250bhp is totally incorrect as i have compared the dyna charts to previous dyno runs of the two done in feb at prosport 1.esl chipset=286bhp and no.2 apexi powerfc not mapped at 277bhp,
also a previous dyno done at mikeanics in congleton on esl chip of 301bhp so unless i have removed a set of plugs this 250bhp figure cannot be taken as testament,
on inspection of dyno graph the chart reads 250bhp at 4900pm yet after this the map goes all wobbly and for some reason never reaches the 7200rpm limiter(actually stops at 5800rpm) whereas on both the prosport charts the engine made 250-255 at 4900rpm but then went onto climb to peak power at 6100rpm of 286/277bhp all this from a recently mapped car that keeps up with an evo 8 fq320 on the road/track
i will be chatting with simon JGM but i would also advise others to check their charts as something is a miss
but then i am not the only one with a bhp figure!

As regards Al's post (and Daves response) here's my take on this:

I've had my current car dyno'd at:
powerstation - 331 bhp on 5/01/06
prosport - 350.7 bhp on 19/02/06
prosport - 312.7 bhp on 10/06/06
dyno demon 322.3 bhp on 21/10/07

and all the time, the car has been exactly the same, with no other mods whatsoever. More importantly though, the car feels the same now as it did when I pulled away from Powerstation after getting it mapped in the first place back in Jan 06.
If anyone feels thier cars are well down in power, then I would suggest you have a problem with the car, especially as in Al's case it is very much down.

CW – I could accept differences (of about 3%) between the Powerstation and Dyno Demon readings, but what on earth caused the Prosport inconsistencies?
