Not just some member of the public accusing her of speeding. I might be being dumb here, but I thought for speeding you got a speeding ticket? Not your car seized. Am I going mad?

Thats not true, If he does it again you MUST do the following when he is talking to you.
Tell him that you will comment on the allegation but you want him to write the account in his note book and you want to sign the transcription for accuracy, Now I doubt he will do this but if he does then approach your local NSO inspector and tell him what has happened and give him the PCSO collar number.

I think you will find he will try to steer the conversation towards anti social use rather than speeding, I am normally a strong supporter of the Police, mainly because I get to see the side that most dont but people with powers that abuse them give all the hard working officers a bad name.

With regards to Sec 59, Top bit of legislation. I dont want to hear what exhaust people have bought from Halfords when I am trying to sleep and I dont want to hear so terrible British MC making words up to a tune that sounds like a speeded up nursery rhyme at 3 am.
And as for little white boys blaring out Hip hop in there stupid little cars..... No one needs to hear that.
When enforced correctly it is a very useful tool for getting idiots of the road.

I'm all for it, idiots with lengths of drain pipe hanging from underneath their sheds, deserve all they get.

I've had plenty of loud pipes on various cars over the years, but there are some people who don't know where to stop.

Broadly speaking the loud exhaust is coupled with some "bangin" stereo and and inability to wear a seatbelt, or find the off switch for the foglights too.

I think it is anti social to have a very noisy exhaust, quite unnecessary and does not prove anything except the attitude of the car or 'bike owner.

So they just complained for no reason and the 'crosser was seized just like that eh? Are you sure there's not more to that story?

Sounds pretty feckin inconvenient to me but each to their own!
To be honest, it sounds like you'd be better off moving from wherever you're currently living if the sort of things you've described are common.
Do you own the place you're in or are you renting?
