lol as long as its not legendary for boring the **** off people, and being a saddo telling everyone everything, then im happy.

Oh it can get a whole lot worse im sure. Never one to be convinced until its all over, and thats a long way off.
The fence is only partially collapsed at the moment. Its still got a way to go, and more than likely its gonna go fully when one of our cars are going in or out of the drive lol.

Now to try and get hold of someone willing and able to come and rectify the situation.... hmmm

I'd call the Council again. No point calling cowboy himself.

This 'collapse' is feckin slower than "The leaning tower of Pisa"

Not very exciting, maybe change the title to "House may collapse in next 100 years"

I think given the circumstances, thats probably a good thing, certainly for me
Maybe the concrete and scaffolding has done as its meant to and started to support the house and STOP the collapse.
Would you be happy living next door to that !! lol

No but it's a forum speed. If the collapse had happening in 5 minutes I'd have missed all the action - at least this way I can watch it unfold (sorry Snazy - not meaning to take this as a joke) once per day or however often most of us log in.

And maybe we can predict the next thing to collapse - I'm predicting the gas pipes, middle of the night, causing an emergency with firebrigade and everything :-)

When they will realise that a lot of the critical underground connections are now buried under 80 yards of concrete..........

Miniman, no offence taken.

Just to put a dampener on your bet....

All utilities were cut off from the street side on the night of the original collapse Electricity, gas and water.
At the same time the emergency crew went into the house, then evacuated rapidly as it begun to collapse further.

I will upload some other pictures of other parts of the house that are somewhat unstable Make the bets more interesting lol

Which will make the costs of demolition higher, and restrict the ability to recover the features of the house for sale.

They have all agreed on one thing, the house has to be dismantled, not demolished so to speak.

Since the emergency crew ran from the property, the place has been secured with the concrete and the scaffolding, making it deemed safe for internal inspection.
They are now waiting a few weeks to see if it shifts more, before starting the deconstruction.

As for todays little affair. Builders were sent straight over, sorted all the mud/clay out and repaired the fence

Didn't you say the cracks in the path were getting wider? Maybe you should tell the LA that things are still moving. Maybe araldite a bit of metal on either side of the crack to use as reference points for measuring, thats what the subsidence people did with my garage once.

lol I wish what were the case.

Iwan, was actually trying to think of ways to actually document or measure the movement, rather than just photograph the cracks, but have come up short so far.

Im gonna ask for another inspection over the weekend, or in the next few days anyway. Now I have some time to spend at home I can monitor it first hand.
Have definatly noticed a few issues, but so far nothing structural looks too serious. (other than the house leaning and creaking lol)

If you have a half decent camera you could do worse than place a steel rule over the crack/s and take a close up photo which will show the graduations. Scribbling the date say on the end of the rule would also be useful. dl

PS. But be ready to move quickly if you hearing a cracking/rumbling sound

I like the idea mate, thanks
Will mark a piece of the ground, or pieces with spray, then measure daily

As for the cracking sound... Just been taking snaps of the path again and the parts of the path nearest the house now wobble and sink as you walk over them. Some more earth has clearly dropped into the ground out the back, and the cracks in the bathroom are opening slightly, allowing pieces of plaster to drop off the walls.
