Strange, as its a current model in Sony's line up (replacement not out 'til October).
If this £3K LCD isn't current, I like to see one that is.... (and shame on Sony if its the case )

A mate of mine has just replaced his 42 Rear projection TV with a 37' Plasma and it takes 3-4 men to move his old one, its that big.
He cant even get it to the tip as it needs a lorry to ship the thing, it does look good where he has dumped it in the middle of his dining room though, his Mrs loves it.

Guys, I repeat...that's why rooms have corners! My soggy 50" LCD wastes not much more space than a 36" CRT.
Panasonic Pro do a 16:9 19" LCD that aint half bad but it's £2.2k and that's why people in the TV industry still rely on CRT for anything critical inc colour grading and picture quality asessement. Says it all.

saw a 65" plasma in the Panasonic shop today...
my little un just looked at it and said "big tv" wasnt a bad picture for a terrestrial broadcast
astronomic price though 7.5K (mind you it was 10K last year)
mart

Bought a 50" Phillips Plasma today in Makro for £999 +VAT. Cracking price! Not 1080P but takes HDMI.
I also got an upscaling DVD player free (that's mine as the screen is for work).
Cant believe the value (or the weight!!!)
