Thumbs up

I'd stayed out of this argument because it is in the For Sale section and the guy wants to sell his car No question about it, the Civic is a performance bargin. With a list price about 30% less that of the Scooby WRX and performance which is on a par though delivered very differently, if I was looking for a cheaper to run 4 seater, this would be the first place I'd go. The numbers are limited so the residuals will be better than an impreza too.

There's no real point comparing the performance, it is a totally different car, the scooby a lower revving turbo charged 2l, and the CTR a much higher revving N/A 2l engine in a smaller body.

Personally between a standard WRX and a standard CTR I'd take the civic, because it will deliever similar enjoyment and cost much less in petrol/insurance/depreciation etc, but they really are different cars. Offer me a Jap spec car or a new UK STI and it would be a different story, but I'm not in the market for any of the above, its a skyline next for me

Just my opinion, but I have driven both cars...

Jon (jap WRX owner currently)
