Has anyone else flooded? We had about a mug full on the kitchen floor last Tuesday then a fair bit more on Friday due to the torrential rain during the night. It was nothing compared to South Yorkshire standards though so we counted ourselves lucky and got on with the mopping up

Last weekend I was down south at my parents and it was so warm that I was actually able to wear my summer tops and sandals. Having said that my sister (and many of the locals) were still wearing fleeces and jackets and moaning about the cold so I concluded that I must have acclimatised to the lovely oop north climate in the three and a half years I've lived up here.
