Has anyone had to pay for disposal of Hazardous Waste (old oil) this doesn't seem to have been mentioned/listed by anyone yet. Screen wash on 1000 miler, £1.49 but it does smell nice and how much would you pay for an air freshner, more than £1.49 I suspect

what's all this screenwash stuff????
Whats wrong with water?
I add and a little dash of fairy liquid to it.
I didn't even know you could buy 'special' screenwash stuff.
Sounds like a right rip off to me.

Ah the environmental charge...

Well the garages get charged for disposing of it in a safe way.

I think mine is 3 or 4 pounds.

Nothing when compared to the rest of the bill and for once I get to feel as if the car is doing something positive for the environment!

Yeh I agree Matt, I'm happy paying it, at least it's not going down the drain, well I hope not.

Yep, I've had the same thing done twice, warned them last time. My wife took her Micra for is first service, 7.5k or one year, they replaced one of the front wipers and the rear wiper, along with some other things. First service came to nearly £150

I'd had enough of my local Subaru dealers as it was, so confronted the Honda garage manager and asked if he was taking the pi$$ because a woman was driving, I've never seen credit go back so quickly onto a debit card.

They have to itemilise the bill, so if there is a charge on there you don't understand or like then ask.

If the screen wash was full then argue the point. You can also ask how much the labour is going to be and get an estimate if it goes whay over that without any heavy work being done then argue again.

Remember the dealers want to keep you business, if they upset you then you can go somewhere else!

Its not the screen wash that bothered me in the past it was the £12 odd for a litre of top up oil that was put in the boot!

Stopped using that garage as I really feel that they are just playing the odds 50% will probably not noitce the extra on the bill.

gits if you ask me!

Thumbs down

Unfortunately, like I have found, if you make a stand, you're either labelled and feel like you are getting a second rate service or they might do a crap job, rather than them taking the constructive critism.
