Big thanks to the SMACS for a fun day out. Loved the drive out and back, and the track was fun. I was desperate to get that fastest speed but it wasn't to be. Sticky managed 65 I believe, but with 258bhp less my 60 wasn't too bad
Anyone needing another such day remember the WYIOC Blyton Blast is coming up very soon 1 1/4 miles of proper track with challenging corners and fast straights. If the speedcam guys want to come along we should be exceeding the ton

Fed, wined, bathed and relaxed Firstly, the BIG THANKYOU'S
David Pierce - for owning the track and allowing us to rent it and for putting on his catering staff to feed you lot and serve you beer
Andy_S - for helping to organise it, sorting out the fun fair, liaising with the fire brigade (they didn't have enough staff to come up today ) and finally for giving me a lift home this evening.
All the SMACS helpers today - svxnut, the chief, moneys, mykp and paulthejambo for running the gates (and andy_s again ) Sorry I didn't give you your issue hi-viz, but it wasn't as busy as expected
All the SMACS members who came along today Without you, club events wouldn't be possible. It's our club, and if we don't support these sort of events, then they don't get organised and we'd end up with no club
All the WYIOC. Once again you're there supporting us. When other clubs make hollow promises, with no attempt at contacting us with any last minute change of plans, the WYIOC are true to their word. They said they'd come, and they came and had some fun Thank you.
To the traders - PD DEVELOPMENTS, HT AUTOS, SPRAYTECH ALLOY REFURBS, SUBARUBITS, BUXTON SUBARU (thanks also to taking my car in this evening) and DYNO DEMON & CAS MOTORSPORT thanks for making the trip up and supporting us and the charity
To the organisations - Derbyshire safety camera partnership team (who had a great day clocking speed around the track, won by our very own CARL555 with an amazing 65 mph ) Seems the SMACS have won most stuff this weekend
The I.A.M. - Andy and Perry from the IAM sat most of the day playing on their banjo and guitar, watching people walk by and ignore them Take the course people, it's well worth the £85 and will one day save you a lot of money
St. John Ambulance - who for a small donation, made sure we were all safe, only treated 2 people, but provided me with peace of mind in case of anything going wrong
Trevor Zippo - who came with the awesome slide bouncy castle and trampolines, he must have lost a packet by not being in Buxton today but thanks to everyone who went on there.
And finally, a big thankyou to David and Jaqueline from TOTAL IMPREZA MAG. From Livingston to Crewe to Buxton to Crewe and back to Livingston tomorrow, all for the story, that's dedication
Commiserations to Malcolm from CAR CONTROL, who'd broken one of the arms on his car cradle, and couldn't get the part needed through in time to make it today Maybe next year Malcolm
I sometimes forget when organising an event of this magnitude what it must be like for attendees. I sometimes loose site of the big picture when plotting all the little details, but one thing I can be sure of today, is that everyone I spoke to had a good time, with great people, in a great location. And essentially, that's all it's about.
Once again, a big thanks to everyone who attended today Maybe I'll do it again next year
(We just about made some money today for HELP THE HOSPICES, so I'll tot up tomorrow what our donation is going to be, and let you all know later (Don't forget ROYAL MAIL will match whatever we've raised today )
Chris.
(PS, my car was blowing smoke as I was about to go back on track, so after some advice, Adam (from Buxton Subaru) kindly took it in, and will look at it on Tuesday)

(I've knicked and modified this from our our Buxton thread)
Chris, I couldn't agree more. We've got a superb inter club friendship and we'd like to thank you all for a brilliant day out and for such great weather (you should arrange ALL Subaru doo's from now on )
The run there and back (though held up by some muppets doing 30 over Strines) was superb in places...and would have been worth the trip alone
I'd agree that the facilities at the track were excellent and the track itself was entertaining! It was a shame not to see as many people who'd promised to go, but I'm sure it'll grow!!
Only one issue... I have a feeling the Sgt said it was K999 that got the 65... but i think Sticky will share it if I'm wrong...
Some pics....
The crowd waits for the first WYIOC car to enter...
Nope... not yet..
Scott leads the way...
Nearly backwards too..
Someone enjoyed that ...
Others followed....
Even the T20 made it.... ... Yes ... I know! Pete & Chris, sorry about the ride, but the gang needed food.....
Someone else ready for the off....
They did make it on eventually...
The full hi res version shows it much better... but this smile is priceless...
I'm just about to go out with Sticky!!!!
Some tractors..... and some vehicles to pull the wrecks off....
Thanks again everyone!!!
