Got all my gear with me here at work and will bring the truck to save having to go home first, so depending on what time I get away from here I may be there earlier than that.

If so, I might go down the road a bit and maybe run the first tank.

No worries mate... If you have tools i may go straight to Bradwell. If not i may need to pick up my race hauler.

Only really need a small flat teminal screwdriver and a long 2mm allen hex driver.

That way we can set your carb and your gearbox

yes it can mate....but for some reason, even though a savage the uprated performance engine is throwing out so much power it just shreds cogs, whether plastic or metal.

Im now going to have to upgrade the clutch housing, as the metal gear on it is to soft.

Id also be looking to lose some of that enormous weight mate. All that loading isnt helping transmision matters either.

Lose some weight and it will help in all areas

Sounds to me like the chassis isnt braced on the upper deck enough and the power is causing the chassis to flex. This flex is causing the gear mesh to become too great and the resultant gap in the mesh is causing it to eat gears.

Id check your meshing first. To set your mesh correctly, use a strip of paper between the gears. A piece of paper is approx 0.1mm thick and will be an ideal mesh clearance.

Bring it over one night and id be happy to look for you

john, i was reading somewhere that you can adjust the slipper clutch to give more slip. this helps with the stresses put on drive gears...

see if you hae an adjusting sprung screw on the end of the gear wheel... anticlockwise turns gives more slip...

hope this helps a bit mate
