Will you smac's pepole be joining us at ferrybridge this year for the final run in ?????

Location: Heart of Midlothian FC aka Hearts have the nickname "The Jambo's" - therefore I'm a Jambo too.

I've been thinking (yes I know it's dangerous) about this convoy.
I was wondering if it might be easier to move the start point to Birch Services on the M62. My reasoning is that everyone knows where it is (including you SVS!
) and that it would save doubling back on ourselves up the M60 for many of us.
The other alternative is that we still meet at PC World in Stockport, then head up the M67 and over Woodhead Pass for a bit of a livelier drive to the M/A1, hopefully before Mr Magiver Sunday driver and friends surface.
Seeing as everybody in this convoy will be on the stand, I think we will have to give the Ferrybridge Services convoy a miss, as we have to be there before General Admission starts.
Please voice your opinions now.

If you read pauls post above, he's asking for your opinion on changing the meeting place to Birch Services or carry on and meet at pcworld, but then go a different way to the m/a1

Ok guys, girls and the undecided.
I will be organising and leading the convoy for those SMACS who are NOT travelling to site early to set up at the NBO - i.e the majority of us.
Last year I seem to remember the journey from PC world took about 1.5 hours inc. one pee stop at Boroughbridge.
On that basis, I propose the following:
Those who want to convoy up together, meet at Birch Services on the Eastbound M62. It's between Jct 18 Simister Island and Jct 19 Heywood/Middleton
Multimap - Maps (above and to the left of the red circle)
Day: Sunday 17th June 2007
Meet time: 8.15am
Depart: 8.30am sharp
This would mean an approximate arrival time of 9.30am
Please add your name to the list below if you wish to be part of this convoy so I can get an idea of numbers. If any NON SMACS fancy tagging on to the back of this, then I'm sure this won't be a problem, although you proably won't be allowed onto the site until later when general admission opens.

Executive decision.
We meet at Birch Services now because it's half a mile from Deniece's house and that means I can stay in bed for longer on sunday morning.
The location has changed and so has the start time. I will try and contact everyone on the list by txt message if I have their number, so that if they don't read this before we leave, my back is covered.
Everybody happy now?

P.s I know there are kids coming too and the run over Woodhead wasn't going to be fast (is it possible except for late at night?
). I just thought it might be a bit more interesting than plugging along the motorway.

I've been in conversation with the wyioc massive today, and after circumstances at home meant it was just me coming up on my own, had a think about what I want from the day out. I loved my camping trip in 2005, see the gallery on the website, it's got a gallery on it! and want to do that again. So unless it doesn't stop raining, I'm off on the saturday, and Isaac wants to come, and we're taking the dog too
Should be a good laugh on the saturday night, and it's something I suggested we do as a club this year but was voted down Maybe next year we'll give it a go.
So, I'll be at the grounds hopefully to help pete/si/howard setting up, sore head permitting
see you all sunday, I feel wellies are going to be needed

That was almost funny, I like to think I value my children !!!
Plus you know I'm going up early to set up so why even bring me into it, plus if I had been going in the convoy I would have been carrying a 12wk old baby !! as it happens it's just myself and my eldest lad !!
