The holes left by the spoiler were filled with lead solder then filled and painted . Cost about £200 but that was with a few other bits being done at the same time .
Don't think grommets would work that well as there are more holes under the spoiler than you'd think , seven and some of them are square .

it looks really good, it because of the whole darkness thing i thing, like the dark wheels and lights up front.
What might really set it away in a light smoke tint on the windows, get someone to photochop it if you cant, i think you might be impressed, that is unless your a hater of tinted windows

Sorry, not my cup of tea Im not really into the US look myself, and I think the bugeye needs all the help it can get in the looks department, hence why my old one had the STi spoiler and lots of styling extras bits.
