putting extra gears in really don't make it go much faster mate..... if i put a 3 speed gears in mine i will only gain about a mile an hour, i spoke to Tony at Heaths and he said extra gears really don't help that much with Nitro engines.
2 gears are great he said, 3 speed will cost a fortune in repairs, especially if you keep smashing your spur gears

Hey cookie, welcome to the R/C Club.
what car did you get???
there is a small model shop called Reeves in Romford (check on the web though, as Adrian who runs it used to only open 3 days a week)
if you have a pull start engine of .21 or less, i would personally use model technics qwikfire 16 for running it in. (at least 5 tankfuls)
do not mess about with the mixture (and i'm not being funny!!!)
i will explain how the mixture works, when i see you next.
slightly out and you will cook you engine!!!!
i went down gloucester park on my own on saturday morning (got a few odd looks - as if you say "isn't he a bit old to be playing with a remote controlled car" the opinions changed when i fired it up and shot off into the woods at 45mph!!! lol.
if you need any help, pm me mate
Enjoy!!
