Alright fella, Andy Kindon done the rebuild, ended up going for 2.1 and a couple other stuff
Turned out to be...
Cylinder 3 ran lean/hot and melted the liner top, aswell as deforming the piston, and dislodged a piece of piston ring which got shot up into the head and cracked the ****** right between the exhaust valves...then when apart it was noted the cam to cam sprocket locating pin was out of shape and the hole had turned oval.... new heads, new blocks.....new fecking engine haha

Here's my Hawk STI Spec D.
Had it since Aug, and recently had an forged engine rebuild by Mark at TD racing, pro drive back box and K&N panel filter fitted and is punching out 307.8 bhp at the flywheel, well pleased!
Sounds and runs sweet now that the headgasket/overheating problems have been fixed to..... what a car!

Thanks fellas, its fair to say this build has been a difficult one.
Getting parts over here is a fairly big deal. Just about everything has to be mail order so you're in the hands of the courier companies and worse still Auspost which is like Royal Mail but worse!!
A good example of this. Injectors that I ordered from Melbourne. I phoned to make sure they had stock which they did and they took just under three weeks to arrive.
In complete contrast ordered some stuff from RCM Friday Afternoon UK time it all arrived Monday Morning here.
The one and only mapping session its had was aborted due to what was later discovered to be a cracked cylinder head (water was pissing out of the exhaust). Could I **** get any here so had to get some from Scotland. Only took 5 days though door to door.
On the plus side it made a tad over 450hp at the wheels at 1.5bar with next to no timing.
Will hopefully get it properly mapped at 2.1bar in the next few weeks.
Here's the graph we managed to get just before the cracked head stopped play
Will update once its tuned properly.
