Thumbs up

Book a character breakfast,
Disney Dining Reservations, Priority Seatings restaurant reservations

Do a search in this web site for locations/characters, works out about £30 each, but well worth it.
You will have to book popular ones (cinderalla castle) about 11 months in advance. Depends on which characters your young ones prefer.
We've been 3 times in that last 6 years, it's fantacstic. Fireworks at MK and Epcot are awsome.

havent been to the florida one for a few years but when i went last back in 1999 it was still good and i was 19 then.
regardless of age you will have a great time no matter what you do.

good attractions i remember are:

wet and wild (international drive)

busch gardens (tampa)

disney (mgm- tower of terror is great, plus typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach are good if you like water parks and you can swim with the sharks at typhoon lagoon)

ripleys believe it or not (international drive)

Kennedy space centre

Universal studios

If you do get a chance do a bit of travelling as the south of florida is beautiful down in the keys there are amazing beaches.

Food is unbelievable too, been there a lot and i always come back heavier due to the breakfast buffets.

Its great to read threads like this, makes me stop and remember how lucky we are to own a place in orlando, bookings are a bit down over the last couple of years but it almost pays for its self.

Staying in a villa is a much cheaper way to do the Florida thing - have a look on Kissimmee vacation rental homes - Loyalty Usa (ours is Minnies Mansion) .

My kids tend to take it all a bit for granted so I think I will show them this thread to remind them that not everyone is as lucky as us.

House prices have increased a bit (but not as much as the UK) Our villa cost about 60 grand 10 years back and is worth about 150 grand I supose now but we wont sell as its a great place to visit - Theres somethig new over there most years - most saturdays theres a cruise in old town (almost like the old Chelsea Cruise) and that makes for a great free evenings entertainment.

Enjoy your trips all

Pool is covered and all enclosed. rates are really dependant on the time of year, as a rule prices are between £400 and £500 per week.

If any of you have any dates in mind let me know and I will check with the boss and see what can be done, I'm out on the 2nd July for 17 days to check on the home improvement work thats being done (tiled floors in bedrooms and flooring to change the garage into a games room - something that would never happen if I lived there for sure!!)

Exclamation

12 months is no time, especially for the things you NEED to book in advance, Discovery cove is one, and the very popular character breakfasts is another.

DC is about £170pp but you need to be booking now, Cinderalla's castle for breakfast, you may already be too late,

I`m surprised that no one has mentioned Sea World yet? I have only been to Florida once, that was back in the early 90s. It was pretty amazing then. I bet its changed so much.
I will be taking my little lad as he is 5 now and will appreciate it more.
The food was excellent, especially the pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast.
So I shall be returning in the forthcoming year or so.

Munna, I truly hope you have a Magical Experience in Florida. On a different note altogether, I hope it helps build your relationship again.

Best Regards

Anthony

I found the 'Outback' restaurants served the best 'all round' food. Their steaks are unreal as are the burgers.

If your budget will allow, the passenger ride in a NASCAR at the Daytona circuit is awesome!

I find driving in the US a lot more chilled out than over here. People just take their time and pootle along in no great rush. No real problems as long as you know where you're going and what roads to take to get there.

I can agree to that. I took a fly drive to California a few years ago. Driving over there was quite a pleasure..
