The all new audi A5/S5

How do you know? No one has seen this car in the flesh dimwit!!!
My RS6 had LOADS of parts shared with a Skoda. I used to get the pi$$ taken out of me by my mates who used to find not a small number of Skoda, VW, Seat, Audi stamps in the car (under bonnet, in boot, gas struts etc).
The DIS for a start is straight from a Skoda taxi.
But then again if anyone had ever allowed you to sit in an Audi you may have known that.
Its kind of the business plan of the VW group i.e. parts sharing.

In fairness before people start getting too upset - I think nearly all of VAGs cars are okay, solid, decent motors. Just not something get that excited over though. They're just all very.. Sensible. Sort of thing I could see myself driving when I'm a gran.. make that great grandparent.

Audi is VAG's golden goose, and therefore gets golden goose parts. Hell a skoda might get to use its indicator stalk or something but who cares.

Surely you can't just be pulling such statements out of your backside?.... can you?
Awaiting proof....
PS to all the Scoobynet punters - apologies from my side this thread has descended into such drivel...

PS to all the Scoobynet punters - apologies for all the guys who have ruined my audi thread with their childish remarks. Its as if audi's just aggravate them or something.

Makes me laugh that AudiLover says he does it to 'bait us all' but the truth is that is the only thing he can do now considering 90% of people on here think he is a complete and utter moron.
#103
Oh well moron or not he still makes SN more interesting.
I really do doubt though that Audi/VAG have reduced their component sharing policy as it makes them quite a few extra $$$$$$$$

VW only makes 300 euros profit per vehicle, taking everymodel profits on average.
Audi make 1600 euros
Porsche make 20,000 euros
Audi make 1600 euros
Porsche make 20,000 euros

its coming
According to a recent study, Porsche make the most profit per car, with the Stuttgart company making an astonishing €21,799 before taxes.
To put that into perspective, it’s nine times as much as BMW make per car (€2475 per car). Audi come further down the list with €1580 per car, while Volkswagen get €332 per car sold.
In the financial year 2005/06 Porsche delivered 97,000 vehicles seeing a record gain of €2.1 billion before taxes.

Mate now I'm really confused. Are you going to post the proof for the General Theory of Relativity next so we can all conclude the A5, a car which no one has seen built, will not be sharing any parts with Skodas?

The A5 looks like a very smart looking coupe IMO - very business-like understated stance, which I suppose is typical Audi.
I also like the new 3-series Coupe which looks better in the metal than on pics, and I expect the same will be true for the Audi. Would be a difficult choice between the two. I suppose it would be the same old story that the BMW is the better drive but has the unfortunate tos$er image.
Have to say Im not keen on the new Audi dashboards that centre around the driver. I dont like the dash in the new BMW 3-series either however, and the quality isnt as good as it should be.
