have to agree with Tiny there. The idea of the "POSERS CRUISE" is to pose. Forgetting Saturday night, as it went a bit t1ts with the police shutting down the front. The number of people parking before completing the POSE is increasing!!!
Anyone caught doing this at the next cruise will get a slapped wrist lol

I did try posing Sat night, but it's not that effective whislt driving an Army Land Rover through a field when your not allowed to put your lights on
I've been guilty of parking up before, but only when I was in Southend already? As a newbie, I have taken note though

From: 2.1 Spec-C .......Pimms O'clock!!
Was my friends first cruise/meet with his UK300, had a great cruise and saw loads parking up so we tried to do the full circuit. We both got stuck at the Cursel as it was blocked and ended up parked for a while and left just before 10.
Wish I had known they opened the front again, would have stayed longer.
Really bl00dy annoyed as his first cruise was spent parked up on our own in the cold.................and no donuts!!!!!!
Roll on next month and hopefully better luck!!

Jo, you could have used the pub opposite the three shells, on the seafront, it's only a 2 min walk form where we had parked.

Hopefully everyone can get it right for the April meet
Anyway it will soon be the summer & there will nbe no parking spaceS anyway !! ( Before or after the cruise round !!)
God remember the old days , The loop in front of the amusements we used to do that 2 / 3 times & then head of to park , Those were the days with scoobs on both sides of the road ( on the loop in front of the amusements )
We have more cars than ever now so this should be easy to do again !!

I must remember for April.........
Follow Tiny, do not upset Tiny, do not stop at dohnut stand, or "Go to Jail Directly to jail without passing Go (Dohnut stand)"
OK.... So i'm bored
Power has gone to the mans head, next he will be in uniform giving out tickets to those that park up

DO'S & DON'TS FOR ALL POSERS
3. Once in two lanes try to keep in your lane & please indicate if you must change lane mid convoy .
When you have this many cars of similar power etc in such a close convoy ANY weaving around is just asking for a coming together of metal.
How cool will you look when you have just taken out someone's pride & joy?
Mark
I put my hands up and admit I did park up before "posing" but then I did have Robbie's dog Hobbs sitting on my lap all the way down there, and was finding it more and more difficult to drive my car safely, so decided best option was to pull over
. Sorry Tiny, I will POSE next time!!
Tiny, can you also remind people that on the way down to Southend, whilst on the A127, I was always under the impression, ALL scooby runners have to stay in the outside lane, to allow none scooby runners to over take properly (rather than under take!) and if they are changing lanes TO INDICATE and I also noticed those two that Baz mentioned weaving in and out!
I suppose we cant expect EVERY cruise to run spot on
!

The people at the back should block the road, everyone else then pulls over to the inside whenever they spot a non-scooby come up behind them, and then puls back out again afterwards (if thats the lane that they want to be in).
Constant swapping of lanes is a no-no. As Flat Eric said how cool will you feel knowing you've just hit someone elses car?
Once on the seafront follow the cruise all the way to Thorpe Bay and back again.

2. Once on the move keep checking your mirrors & when other vehicles get stuck in the convoy please indicate & move over to lane 1 and let them filter through .
It's more likely to be the first time posers that don't know the way to convoy ESC stylee.

I think more peeps should be encouraged to get walkie talkies too! Very handy and not an expensive item to have whilst "cruising"!! Also well worth it if your planning to attend more ESC cruises/events (ie; Santa Pod etc!)

It would be TO EASY If we were all in radio contact , At the mo it is only a handfull of us & it makes it confusing to say the least

As Tiny said, this has been mentioned before....when the group was a LOT smaller. Now with the success of the cruise, trying to get everyon connected is probably gonna be virtuatlly impossible.
However, for the next cruise how about (and this has been asked before) 2 lead cars and 2 nomiated "blocker" cars. This should then hopefully see the 2 lanes full of scoobs....obviously people will have to shuffle around when non scoobs join from slip roads.

Simple...
Turn up at tesco, drive from A to B following the highway code, if you want to pose and sit in traffic on the seafront then do so, if you want to get a space cos of kids, elderly, dog, or cos u cant be arsed to que in the cold then park up.
Each to their own, we all get different rewards from going.

fair comment, but, coming from someone who has been going for a few years in all weathers, we are trying to keep up the "tradition" of the cruise. Obviously we want as many scoobs to turn up as poss, but the spirit of the run is to ALL complete the route, and during the summer months parking is going to be a nightmare no matter if you do the full cruise or not.

lol ) but Hobbs is so dam cute in his t-shirt . Sorry hun moan over was just shocked he travelled on your lap when you were driving .

I understand what Tiny would like. Yes I have been to a few, but some people might want to do it a little to suit their requirements, its all each to their own, but trying to keep to what was started is cool, people just might want to do something occassionally without feeling like a naughty school boy.
as I sid before, everyone gets their own rewards by going..

I can see what your saying mate , but its taken these guys a long time to build this cruise up and organise it in a way that we get known as a well behaved club . Only takes a few to mis behave and it attracts the attenion of the boys in blue . Some of the lads if they want a little something diff on the odd occassion arrange to meet up on other saturdays , look out for the threads , or arrange your own others may be interested

I understand that people have children etc, but then so did those that came form the early days and they managed to do the full route.
Sorry if i seem to be going on, certainly do not want to put anyone off coming.
Spally, Thats cool. Miss D, I certainly don't want to 'spoil' anything, i am 50/50, if it looks rammed, peeing down with rain then i am likley to park up and beat you lot to the food. Nice and clear, no police road blocks and sunny i will roll.
